Why was my post deleted?

Most recent comment here on the Lucy thread got deleted. Was it the typo that i made when i was asking if there were "any SW forums here "and i said "and SW forums"? I noticed it too late to edit it. Or was it something else that prompted a delete?

Also, is the approval by mod going to be a permanent aspect of posting comments or is there a threshold for x amount of posts by a new user before that is waived? Just asking not trying to be smart about it.

You asked if there were any SW threads, not forums. You used the word thread.

The simplest answer is that you are a newbie so try looking first.

Overall that post had nothing in it that would advance the thread or contributed to it. So it was deleted. All posts must adhere to those standards but it is easier to enforce it on newbies since your post will sit in the que until one of us gets around to reading it.

Yes there is a set number of posts for new members that once you pass that number you are automatically out of moderation.

However if we notice someone is likely to be a pain in the ass or most of his early posts need to be deleted he can be put on moderation until he proves he is going to contribute.

Good luck, I'm still scratching .my head( top one of course) as to why i can't get out of moderation at least to see and comment on the advertisement section, I fell like I contribute enough to be worthy, and even tried to email slinky but to no avail. At least I can get some leads on hear and report back from time to time.

Well they seem to be fair on this board so I’m sure they will get around to it eventually.

Question for the mod...put a post up looking for info that I have a meeting set up with. Will give details after I meet Monday. Why was it not put up?? Why am I in moderation? I wasn’t before

2) The post in question violated the rules*.

3) I have no idea why you are in moderation but given the above I'd guess for frequent rule violation.

1. i forgot this thread existed for deleted posts, so my apology

2. I do contribute to this page and have been a member here for over 13 years. Was away for a while but came back. Many threads are deleted but some are here that date back to 2007. I am aware of the rules and worded my post incorrectly. However I have made contact with someone on SA and was looking for feedback before my meeting on Monday...I thought that was what this board was about

3. Frequent rules violations?? News to me please show me where. Other than me asking where a post and a comment went a few months ago that you didn’t like, I have no knowledge of that.

I have contacted many and talked to many on SA recently and would like to provide the feedback to help others and see if they had the same experience with some so I ask to be taken out of moderation.

You yourself pointed out that the post by T8t8t was useless.
When that post was deleted so was yours since it quoted it.

Plus if I know you are referring to a deleted post I'm going to delete it anyway.
Why would I let it stand. I want the whole conversation removed from the thread.

Ok no problem. For whatever it is worth there seems to be some inconsistency in when “useless” posts are taken down or left to stand; particularly when a constructive comment/question is placed on a “useless” post. I think you know I try to contribute in a positive meaningful way.

You should know the rules about posting third party information.
