if it happens again....with any other car....do not drive home. Even if you think you lost him.....drive to police precinct......then park and see what happens.
Stay safe.
Stay safe.
Or another similar approach:
True story. I had some buddies how worked their way thru college by stealing hub caps and wheels from cars. One night they saw some nice stuff in someone's driveway and decided to take the stuff. Car with driver waited on the corner while the buddy started removing stuff. Porch lite went on and a guy yelled out "what you doin" and buddy started running. Guy went back in the house and came back out with a gun and fired at my running buddy who literally leaped thru the car window into the back seat as they sped away..
Couple days later buddy was driving down hwy around none and the guy was was driving opposite direction (in car with nice wheels) did screeching U turn and followed. Buddy saw cop car with cop in it parked. He pulled right next to cop car and guy pulled right behind him. Buddy got out of car and said "Sorry, peace". Cop looked at them both and guy drove away. Cop just shrugged his shoulders.
End of story.
Moral: get LE involved.
