The Orioles are only four games under .500!
In fact they are only 1 game behind the White Sox in the Wild Card race. The Chisox were supposed to be a serious contender.

Further proof the AL East is by far the toughest division in MLB.

All the Wild Card seeds as of now are coming out of that Division.

Two more wins since this post 42-44, ahead of the White Sox and only 3.5 games behind Toronto. They were at one point 10 under .500.

That's crazy. How do you say no to that? If this was the offseason of free agency he could try to get a better deal but this is the middle of a season - he could get hurt and never be the same. How much more money can he get? Is it worth it to gamble? If I were him - I would say deal but put in an opt out - they always have them and he can then try to get a couple hundred more million! I don't know - seems crazy.
