By adding another 4 teams to the playoff picture - MLB has made it a reality that sub 500 teams will be in the playoffs. UNACCEPTABLE!
Totally agree.
It all goes back to those six or eight owners from the smallest markets who drove the lockout and want a watered down product so that no one will notice they aren't trying to win, just take money from the teams like the Mets, Yanks and Dodgers.

On a different subject, has anyone read about the issues with Mattingly's sons. The latest a drunk driving escapade. Another son has issues with the law as well.
What kind of family life can you have when dad is away from home or coming home after kids are in bed 9 months out of 12. No surprise his kids are fucked up.

Bad look for MLB that after a lock out so many team not even trying.
Royals, A's, Marlins, Nationals, Pirates, Reds, Dbacks.

I think Detroit and Baltimore are genuinely trying but still suck at this point. The O's lineup is a little tougher and Detroit spent some money (Baez) and has some good young arms.

Teams that are just disappointing, Red Sox (maybe they played over their heads last year?), Phillies, Girardi is going to get canned because they spend the money but always under achieve and the Mariners who almost made the playoffs last year, spent money and got players but have sucked so far.

Also I can't figure why the Braves are so bad, maybe they will make a late move again.
But they better not wait until deGrom and Scherzer are back because that will be too late.

Girardi got canned today, you were right!

Robinson Cano opts for free agency, refuses Padres minor league assignment.
He was hitting .091
I don't see much of a market for him in the majors.
But I'd definitely sign him to minor league deal and give him at bats in Scranton for a month and see if he's got anything left.

If he does it's on the Mets dime.

Bullshit.
I think Patrick Mahomes turned out ok. Just an example.
Yes Bullshit is right. He's just one of many who debunk the idea. So I guess all these guys turned out to be shitheads??? And these are just the ones who had playing careers. All had fathers that were mediocre to great ballplayers.
