My point was NOT that his Year End totals did not pan out extremely well but More about the inconsistency. & the way he finished. Look it up! I don't have to. He was the biggest piece to my Fantasy rotation. So I lived it.
Luckily I was adept at identifying prospects and Acquiring Ray through trade to pull off a Victorious 20021 Campaign.
The Douche comment was simply additional fodder not intended to reflect upon his prowess.
And you are correct Conforto is Still Without a Home? The drop-off for him & Bellinger is completely befuddling. Possibly Historic(More in Bellinger's case).
Wife is a big Mets fan. (Makes for an interesting rivalry in my home. Subway Series games are especially fun.)
So I wound up watching Sunday's game with her. That Mets 1-2 tandem was impressive. The fans were loving it. What a treat it must have been to see that tandem in a game where you didn't have to take a bank loan to attend with your family.

I have been meaning to post on here. Just been having a busy schedule so haven't posted in a while. Got to say, glad we got rid of Gary Sanchez, what a defensive nightmare. Was sad to see gio Urshela go tho. Heard judge might get a big extension which I feel is deserved, I understand the injury risks that some ppl may feel be a liability. It'll be an interesting season for the yanks.
Really who cares if Cole is a douche. So was Jeter and look how he turned out.
If I am a Yank fan, and I am not, but have always liked Cole, of coarse I have my reservations about Cole. Hasn’t been clutch. Has t been the same without the sticky shot. But he is still really good and so talented, I think he will be fine. He will not crash. If he is not great, he will still be one of the best and be really really good.

I have followed Gerrit Cole since his Pittsburgh days. I always thought he was a great talent. Not sure about his personality, but who cares if he wins the yankees games when it matters. I was thrilled when we got Cole. I feel we haven't had an ace like him a while. Probably since CC from what I remember. Others along the way have been disappointing

But when it comes to his "Talent" & "Performance" I was also merely stating that he was not just lacking in the clutch. He was WILDLY Inconsistent.
First 2 months he was close to matching deGrom Next 4 months he was a well below avg. pitcher with only a handful of really good starts. Pretty Much EXACTLY what he was in Pittsburgh. Then goes to Houston the land of all cheating methodology & the rest is history.
Can he re-invent himself...AGAIN?? Sure Maybe. But it's Not a small data pool that shows he may not.
Be Hopeful! Go ahead You're Fans after all. But Please don't be blind or intentionally fooling yourselves.

Maybe he got tired down the stretch in 2021? Wasn't there some speculation that he had a bad hammy. Check out those stats you typed and see where he left that game with the hammy issue. That might be a cause too.
2020 he pitched 12 games, in 2021 he pitched 30.
Thats a big jump in innings pitched.

Cole has been a disappointment to date. The team has been as well. He is not the unhittable pitcher that he was when he was with Houston. He's put up good numbers, but I wanted him to be Bob Gibson or even Andy Petitte for that matter.
By May 31st, I want his stat line to be (assuming 10 starts) 7-1 2.25 ERA 68 IP 72K's 15 BB's
