I never saw Mantle, but I might as well have because I know all about him. As I mentioned, I hate the Yanks, but LOVE their history... I wonder just how good Mantle would have been if he never got hurt...

I saw a great interview of Mantle towards the end of his life and they asked him how much better he would have been if they had all the rehab and medical knowledge back when he was playing. He cut the guy off and said that they knew how to rehab him when he got hurt but he just didn't do it.

Absolutely JB, its a win for the Mets. Nimmo won't ever be an all star. Marte is legit and fits what Mets needs, that is to WIN NOW. He is a solid 3-4 year fix for their current window.

Mantle was one of the more modest guys I ever heard speak. he was always a great interview.
