Referrals/Screening

#41
I have been asked from someone on backpage to use a verifying website to get her info. The last one was fucksafely.com are those actually legit or is it a scam? I obviously didn't join the site, but I am curious about them.

Hmmm if you know of any issues with any of the three sites I am referring to I would love to know. But when I say "reputable" that is exactly what i mean - they have good reputation in the industry.
No, Lina. I don't know about any issues with these sites. Neither do I know about any issues with particular providers that may wish to screen me. I suspect the concerns of hobbyists concerned with disclosing personal information with either providers or screening sites would be identical: trust about the safety of that personal information. It would seem to me that for a referral site to be able to solve this problem, they would need to create trust among hobbyists. I think that would take a bit more than just "being reputable in the industry".

An escort has two legitimate security issues - is a prospective client a cop, or is he a psycho? Employment verification handles the cop issue, and referrals can handle the second. The problem for many clients, like me, is I always went to AMPs where references aren't possible. Employment verification doesn't bother me; I'd only ask that the escort not keep written records.

I will never join a verification site. They don't do anything but collect your credit card info for God knows what charges. The personal info they collect is, I believe, not protected. They do nothing that will weed out either cops or psychos. I think they're all scams. I'd rather do without.

If anything, it's a false sense of security for a provider and in the extreme case, it's a con to get client info. But I will say this - for independents, I can see where this keeps a balance/is protection.

Sorry, if you need that kind of protection, I don't feel safe either.

I see the value of a disposalble phone. as was mentioned earlier in this thread. But what about emails? Aside from setting up a separate free email account, is there any reason to worry about the computer you use or the use of emails in general?

Sophisticated users can track your computer to a location, and I am told that an IP address can be used to dig up information (not sure how much).
If you want to spend the time to post reviews on *** and can find a girl who will whitelist you, that's a good way to go. I've had a girl ask me to put up a post on this site to verify that I am who I say I am.

I myself don't care to know your real name, give me your hobby phone number and the last escorts name you've seen (she must be known ie. reviews/website of her own) and I am good to go.

Guys that aren't willing to give up that small amount need to see things from the provider side. Providers need the reinsurance LE or some crazy person isn't coming to see them. Hobbyist have reviews and such on a provider to know she is safe to see.

Now all referrals/reviews won't guarantee YOUR session is going to be perfect but its a good way to feel better about a first time meeting.

I'm a newbe and having a hard time getting a date. I'm in the process of becoming date-check verified. I can't blame the provides for wanting this level of assurance. Their safety and livelyhood is on the line.

I completely understand why providers screen. However, I just won't release my info to any of them due to two different stalker incidents over the years. I really like the M &Gs and UG parties as an opportunity to meet ladies without the screening. I also like girl's recommendations as a way to meet new talent. Other than that, I rely on my favs.

My two cents,

Chels

This is a fantastic discussion that I wish I'd been reading earlier. I'm new to the hobby and have managed with both of my first two hook-ups - both found here on UG with great reviews - I felt safe going to them. The second one's assistant required my real name, and then the provider needed to see my ID on arrival. I don't see what kind of security that provides her, but the danger to me is clear if they keep that info. I complied because, well, I was eager, and boy was I satisfied. But now I read here that one should never divulge one's real name, which makes sense to me. What should I have done when that was required? I tried using my UG name, Leporello, but of course, UG is our world, not the provider's world. She doesn't care what I'm called here.

Ladies, gents? Real name? ID?
