I don't blame you.
All my friends go to Sosua and I hear all great reports. I have two teacher friends who spend the entire summer there. I been there a few times myself.
I do not like the sun or the beach, I like to stay in larger hotels with a casino, good resturant, pool, so I can spend most of my time in the hotel, and not have to deal with the heat. For this reason I go to the Capital, Jet Blue also has 10 flights a day. If you book in advance you can get a very good deal on a flight. You can also get good rates on 4 star hotels. You have to call them in advance and ask for a coporate rate, you can save 50% in some cases.
I read that they are building a huge Casino in Sosua, so I may give it a shot again. The casino's attract a good quality women.

Never a bad time in DR
My ex is from the DR, and her brother to this day is still my buddy. I have rented cars many times and traveled to different Cities. No matter where we go, even the small towns, I have always picked up women, always had a great time, even in local non-puta spots. What is nice about the DR, is girls will hang out with you if you pay for there drinks for the night. Most of the time they go back with you to the hotel, in the morning you give them whatever you want. They expect something but not much, they will also hang out with you for as long you want.
The way I have to struggle to meet a hot women in NY, and the amount of money wasted, on girls who do not appreciate you, and are not much fun, the DR is a different world. If only women could behave like they do in the DR in the USA.

I'm wasn't trying to imply that the prostitute in the D.R. had better information than I with respect to best practices on the use of condoms and STD transmission.
Are you saying that the CDC and WHO are lying with respect to the numbers of people who have contracted HIV? If thats the case what would the motive be? How would they hide the truth from anybody else that took a casual look around?

Besides Eddy, how would you keep a 'poison' that could enter the system through those activities (i.e. entrance into the blood stream) from spreading to other parts of the population. Regardless of what you believe started it, how can you honestly believe it hasn't spread. How about all of the straight non-IV users of Sub-Saharan Africa, with the largest AIDS numbers in the world? Finally, how does a government that can't keep torturing people in Cuba a secret keep that a secret? It just defies basic logic.
hmocha -- im not saying i dont agree with you. I do in fact. However, i think our starting position are probably just too far from Eddyberrys... whats the point anyway? i might just leave it alone... This is a thread about the D.R. Im not saying that there are not some tangents STD wise that relate to it.. but the tangent is probably exhausted.

Big changes in the DR.
Due to the 'loyalty oath' that contries have had to sign with the US to receive forgeign aid, the capital (Santo Domingo) has pretty much been purged of fun (the even have a curfew on bars). As a result, Sosua has had a huge boom; whereas a few years ago it was pretty mcuh skank central, now you have girls actually from SD (all the way across the island) traveling to the North Coast to work.
i wonder what the mongering scene is like at the ultra expensive Cap Cana "billionaire" resorts at the opposite end of the island? Anyone know?

The only big change is the 12:00 AM curfew Sun - Thur, and 2:00 AM Fri and Sat - exempt the month of December.
The other big change is that many of well known casa sita's have closed. There are lots of new spots that opened, you have to know were they are.
Before the party started at 1:00 AM, now it starts at 9:00 PM - There are just as many girls around, and clubs - but it moves to your hotel room earlier. There are also spots that are still open all night, you just have to know were to find them.
I miss the all night party, running from club to club in a drunkin rage, but considering what local mongering has to offer, it's still a great place.

I am not in Africa, and will not comment. I do live in the USA and travel to the DR 4 to 8 times a year.
The only thing that defies logic is that you believe you can catch the aids poison from normal sexual activities. You don't - It is spread by IV drug use and homo-sexual activities. Blood to Blood - It is not spread like a virus.

sosua has a club called "After One" which is in the new casino , near the beach. the way around the curfew is the casinos. before they did the same thing at the old casino ... it would go after 3 or 4 maybe still does but i doubt anyone goes there., whatever time the clubs closed. slim pickins at that time, you gotta be out early other wise you get sloppy seconds or a skank.
Ive driven through the middle of the island and if i see a hot girl i pull over , especially if shes in a bar. Sometimes they are shy, or blow you off. In the middle of nowhere with a gringo you look like the biggest puta on the island if your with a foreigner but some don't care. this is what i love about the place, I'm driving down the road , listening to the radio and 10 minutes later im in my hotel room with 2 naked 19 year olds. or i go out for lunch and bring back 2 girls to my room that i met in the restaurant, or a girl from the internet cafe. i find it works out better if you rent an apartment instead of a hotel, i think they get the feeling your gonna stick around a while , or maybe they don't start out directly in your bedroom. these guys have no idea what they are missing Eddy , the place is a fuckin goldmine.
