My .02 cents

It seems that a good way to look at all this ( IMHO) is like actors and movie critics.

Providers being the actors and us Johns being the movie critics.

You all know this, but when a critic see's a play or movie they offer their view on it. They say what the movie was about, how the actors acted and if they enjoyed the movie. Some actors read all the reviews, and take them for what there are worth, and some stay away from reading anything at all.

A provider is always going to be discussed, whether its positive or negative. If a provider can't take the negative rewiew don't read it and then try to defend youself. There is nothing to defend. Its just one guys opinion. Its not worth getting upset over. If it is a great review, thank whoever wrote it and let that review put a smile on your face that day.

Daddycool - That's all very well and good, but that's not what we're talking about. This is not about whining girls not able to take the heat on good or bad reviews - this wasn't even a review about any of the girls that posted in this thread.

This was about how Johns/Prostitutes differently understood a "joke" about violence, lewd comments, and references to stealing from prostitutes.

The Prostitutes saw this from a necessarily defensive prespective and responded accordingly.

The Johns didn't understand why we were freaking out.

Everyone got really upset and then figured it all out.

Anyway, this thread's dead.

I most definitely do not always side with women. It was the violence of the language and imagery which was objected to by them. That objection was valid.

As for the underlying service complaint, miglio apparently has a valid beef. Unfortuneately, there is no redress available for him other than to warn other men awawy. That could have been accomplished without the call to violence.

We have all been ripped off. I ever tell you about the German hooker who called me husband, took pictures of my dick and sent me packing after one shot? I got even by including a description of her in my Meditation on Bettina's Asshole. I turned her into a 50 foot hooker who gets blasted to bits by an F-15 on the Brooklyn Bridge. Revenge by humor.

The only ones this thread really hurt Bill are the women on this board. I feel bad that it got out of control and went as far as it did. Hope this doesn't leave permanent damage with some of the online relationships here.

Humor has an evermoving invisible line. However mobile and transparent it may be, making a "violence against escorts" joke on a mixed whoreboard should have made that line look as clear and still as Mt. Rushmore.

(advice coming from someone who didnt realize it was obvious that you cant make a fat joke about Kimmie unless you're Slinky)

comment. It was based on your role play prison experiences,
that had me associate you with the women. LOL
Yes, because of the way I portrayed the hypothetical image,
it was very sensitive to them. We saw it one way, and as evegirl pointed out correctly, they saw it from a defensive perspective
and reacted accordingly. They actually have to live that fear.
We can only imagine it and laugh it off.
As far as your nazi hooker story and the F 15 and the bridge,
you lost me, judge.
I don't know if any women were hurt. Some took offense, big
time, because I think the suggestion hit too close to home.
The scenario I painted, probably actually happened to them in real life, and it brought back very painful memories.
I got to know evegirl better, and I enjoyed reading her replies.
She's laid back, like me, but it's us easy going, quiet ones, you have to watch out for, when we go off. IMHO.
Anjelika made some nice peace offering, honest comments.
As far as permanent damage, if you're thin skinned, this is not the
place to be. Just buckle up and hold on tight. It's a wild and
enjoyable ride. You just have to withstand some bumps and turbulance along the journey.

It's only money. I have spent alot of money doing this. I don't get too upset by anything anymore. I know what to avoid and don't feel too bad if I don't come like a stallion twice in each session. If a woman provides a bad experience, it is enough to say so in a scathingly funny review and leave it at that.

Daro, I know your comment about "hitting them close to home" is directed at me. Sweetie, you have no idea who I am or what I am, just as I do not know the real Daro. I would really appreciate it if you would not assume anything about me. I am so much more then words on a message board.

No man has ever laid a hand on me, client or otherwise. I am very lucky to have met some wonderful men who are respectful towards me.

I risk my safety when ever I meet a new client. I have a family that I like to go home to after an appointment. With every single new appointment I go on I walk up to the door and say, "Ok, this could be it. This could be the one who arrests me, or hurts me."
I have to have that mentality so that I am prepared for what awaits me behind that door.

Your comment about hitting a provider hit me close to home only because you suggested violence towards my profession. The same response , if not worse, would have been given if you had said, "Shoot ALL Cops." in the middle of a police station.

My response to Jseah started this whole thing. Jseah is a VERY good friend of mine and my comments to him he understood and did not take offense to.

This board is about exchanging ideas and sharing information. I came to this board, not to sell my services, but to learn about what goes on in the mind of a client. His likes, his dislikes, why they use our services, what makes them need our services, what they want from a provider, etc etc... That is why I asked so many questions.

I have always enjoyed being here and learning, flirting and yes even enjoyed being called fat and ugly. :rolleyes:

There is nothing more to learn now... I learned more then I needed to or wanted to know.

I think everyone( myself mostly) would have been better off if I had spent my time here as Vanessa..

If my memory is correct, I thought I read a thread about you, a child, a man, who I believe was her father, and some awful
things he said or did to you in her presence. Just because he didn't make physical contact with you, the mental violence
you had to withstand, could have been just as hurtful. IMHO.
You reaction and subsequent posts were very forceful and violent.
It was a sensitive subject and imho it effected you deeply.
But since I'm no Frasier Crane, my opinion may be moot.
You explained, as others, why it had that type of an effect on
you and I can see it more clearly now. Like you said, certain
phrases, even said tongue in cheek, can be presumed as cruel,
violent, offensive, predjudice, etc., when said in the presence
of certain company. Like you said I don't know the real K or V
and you don't know the real Daro. We are much more than words on a message board. But in our case, that's all we really are to
each other. Hopefully our words in the future, will be as pleasant as these two posts were. IMHO. God Luck with whoever you
choose to be, K or V. I don't have to tell you to be yourself. LOL.

You might be referring to my post where Judge Crater ask if we should tell men we are involved with about our profession. I mentioned I told my ex. He was NEVER violent with me, he was upset, hurt, but not violent. Maybe you read too much into my reply.

He is the best person and father I have ever known..

Anyway, I am glad we have agreed to disagree and are willing to move on.

If you can't afford to lose $$$ and laugh it off -- you've got the wrong hobby. This isn't bowling, model airplane building, or collecting Disney memorabilia. And you obviously don't live in Amsterdam.

What we discuss here isn't legit, and you've got little recourse. I find all the posts trying to treat this as some sort of above-board business transaction pathetic. This isn't a legit business transaction -- and while its nice not to get cheated in any transaction, don't expect a Macy's-quality return policy.
Just because you spend money on something doesn't mean you are entitled. Just because you dropped $$ on blow, doesn't mean that you are entitled to anything more than baby powder.

What happened in this case is the inherant risk of this hobby. You factor it into the equation. If you can't afford to, stay the fuck at home and stroke it to skin mags. Getting a bad deal doesn't entitle you to anything but something to file into the experience cabinet, and a rant on this board.

I do this because its fun. Its exciting (sometimes). Because I like women. And because its a nice distraction. And if something doesn't work out -- I have only, and I mean ONLY myself to blame. Because its my money, my choice, and my chance that I'm taking.

So you lost $$$. Big fucking deal. If you can't afford to, invest it in a remote control car -- its got a better return policy.

Not passing judgement, and not trying to rain on anyone's parade. Although in re-reading my comments, I may have come of that way.

My point was only that this isn't Wal-Mart, and expecting the same customer service you get when you buy a vacuum cleaner isn't realistic.

I don't like losing $$$ but I know it can happen when you aren't operating in a legit business. Bad pros go out of business eventually, or fall so far down the ladder that they are sucking off johns at truck stops. Drug dealers who sell you baby powder eventually go out of business or get a bullet in the head.

You know the risk. They know the risk. The question is only who is willing to take the risk, and what is your threshold.
