Aaron Boone says Volpe is the best baserunner he's ever seen.
That's an amazing statement coming from a guy who grew up around MLB going back to when he was a kid. He's seen a lot of good baserunners.

Two injury prone players. You can't run them into the ground in May. Look at what happened to Alonso and Lindor at the end of last season.

They completely broke down and the Mets ran out of gas when it counted most.

The problem isn't resting them, the problem is who they have in the bench to give them a rest

Nah, both Alonso and Lindor had good seasons last year. With Alonso having a great season power wise and driving in runs. Gotta catch lightning in a bottle with Bader because he isn't known for being a good offensive player,plus he just came back and doesn't need a rest..Resting them is on Boone being Boone. They gotta be in there in my opinion. DJ and Bader have been hot and should play. They give you a better chance at winning a game they need.
