Why bother getting married in this day and age.

#61
but circling back to the topic, many people I know are still getting married but opting out of grand weddings and traditional diamonds for smaller restaurant style receptions and colored gemstones that cost a fraction of diamonds.

Not to sound elitist in anyway but 6 figure aint what it used to be.
WADR, but your next sentence is kinda that way. (Bold added by me)
Any schmuck with two brain cells can hustle and fluff his way into a 100k job after just a few years of college (or even without a degree these days)......
I live in the higher priced area of my town. My property is in the bottom half price wise but my educational credentials are probably in the top half.

The highest value property, by far, is owned by a plumber.

No I called you out on calling people schmucks who make less $300k.
@genius is calling you out for putting down people who don't have a college degree..

No big deal. We appreciate your contributions and being able to take a joke.

*Now go get back on your scooter and get us an AMP review in Flushing.

*Extra credit for whoever guesses the paraphrased movie line.

Glen Garry Glen Ross?

I like @Stockbroker , he can roll with the punches and not get pissy when we break his balls.

He also has one of the funniest stories, although not funny to him at the time, the whole getting thrown out into a hallway naked because he tried to flash a yoga instructor.
Lmao, I reread it the other day and still cant believe it really happened and that I survived it relatively unscathed…I’m not a praying man but thank god it was the time before social media took off, couldnt imagine if it had happened during these cancel culture times and internet mob take downs.

Oh really? I play guitar most of the day. 24/7 ? lol
The only thing I do 24/7 is exist .
Reminds me of that song by Dire Straits - “Money For Nothing”

(Chorus)

“Now that ain't workin' that's the way you do it
You play the guitar on the MTV
That ain't workin' that's the way you do it
Money for nothin' and your chicks for free
Money for nothin' and chicks for free”

It is one expensive chick but Marriage is usually more than just sex.

I am no sociologist but I think of marriage now more like a lifestyle choice.
Traditionally it has been more of an obligation.

In the 80's when that song was out I was on the road with a band and we did that song and yes I fucked hundreds of chicks for free .
