Playing BlackJack with retards

i agree with you slink...i'm not going to argue with you on this since I have probability of winning this argument is 0%... obviously you're probably the guy that splits 10s and tell the other players to shut the fuck up cause whatever card you pull doesnt effect them. No one on the table is gonna say you're smart for splitting 10s (even if dealer breaks), but people will think you're a retard when the dealer doesn't. This being the point I was trying to make from the start till you made this into a math class. sorry, promise i wouldnt argue :)

Fuck yeah, I bring my rabbits foot with me and every mother fucker is to be blame if I'm losing, but I don't verbally express it. I'm one of the calmer chinks and keep it to myself (most of the time).
Evidently the APM and justme found some chinks in your armor, so to speak. Just goes to show you that the stereotype of Asians being good at math(read probability) is just that ...a stereotype, and the "stereotype" of an anchor affecting the other players is also just that.

Having read through this ........

it has pretty much all been said....... IMHO I do one thing at a BJ Table and a Craps table if I don't like the players around me ....... and that is find another table.... at BJ I try to get the last seat whenever possilbe or at least close to it....

I agree it makes little difference what the other guy does and it only effects the outcome in your head ....... unless you can count a multiple deck shoe......

Be Careful with you money!!!

you're right travis, the outcome only effects the other player's heads... the point I've been trying to make that slinky don't seem to get is that it's not whether the dealer breaks or not after the split, it's that the moment the guy split his 10s, everyone on the table is going to want to kill him. It might calm them a bit if the dealer broke, but it's a immediate sign that it's time to get up. I don't know anyone on the table that wouldn't have sort of distorted reaction when the guy splits 10s. Asians are probably the most angriest people when they are gambling (even when they're winning).

The basic problem here is you're playing at the twenty-five dollar table. If you're starting here to build a stack then that's OK. Once your able to move over to the $100.00 table. This usually weeds out the nitwits. Usually, but not always.

So then, I guess you don't own stock in any casino operators. They would be awfully desolate places.
Look, I'm not saying that people do what's good for themselves.

(It's actually a really, really, easy question)

this is a great point... It's so ridiculous when someone is playing a ten dollar table and gets so angry at the other players for making dumb plays. It's a ten dollar table -- you've got to EXPECT nitwits or GAMBOOOLers.

Never having played at a $100 table, I can't say for sure, but I would THINK that, in general, the quality of play would be higher there.... (but nitwits exist at any table level, I am sure).

Actually, on the high roller tables, players are just as out of whack as the $10 tables. Some players just never ever hit on a 12-16 no matter what the dealer is showing because they dont want to (or afraid) they gonna break. I think the more consistent players are in the $25-50 range tables.

The thing is that when the dealer is showing a break hand and you're holding a 20, why would you try to be greedy and ruin it? It's a game of risk, but when the dealer has a 6 and the only card that can beat you is the 5, wouldn't it be a wiser move to take the better odds that the dealer is gonna pull one of the other 9 #s?

On the other hand, why shouldn't he be greedy? Maybe he was counting and was waiting for this situation all day to come up where he could exploit the dealer showing a 6.

Its exaclty the same as if you where on a 10 dollar table. Just becuase a guy has a high bank roll doesn't make him a good card player. Also just think, if there are guys out there that think, this is MY money on a 25 dollar table, what do you think those guys are saying at a 100 dollar table? That is MY 100 dollar hand and I'll play it like I want to play it.
