Playing BlackJack with retards

#21
I will tell you what I can't stand....

When I'm sitting last (which is my favorite spot) and I have a shit hand... say 12 or 13 and the dealer shows a 7 or better... I'm taking that fucking hit hoping for a 7, 8 or 9. When I get it and there's some asswipe (usually a Korean or Chinese) who gives me that shitty look before the dealer ever shows his hand.... I want to toss my drink in his face.

There might be some Baysian effects then effecting the distribution of low cards.
I'm an ass, of course there aren't any Baysian effects. n stochastic cards with a given distribution changes the distribution the same as m cards.

The expected value is still the same.

Maybe the variance changes, though...

(God, it's no wonder I'm getting my ass kicked in probability)

daidailun, this is pretty funny, cause I was at the trop and saw a fight break out between a black dude and a young white guy over something like this.

its very, very simple. Its too simple.

You cant play blackjack or engage in any public gambling venue if you want to smack the guy sitting next to you cause hes a schmuck.
He can do as he pleases, its his money.
If he fucks you up, killing your hand, playing a certain way, or worse than that, if he plays inconsistently, like on a hunch, or gut feeling, all you do is get up and walk to another table, Period.
who the fuck made anyone the gambling god and decides whats wrong.
Ive played 100 casinos, and Ive sat next to grandmas that had no clue what to do at a table, and I sat next to them, betting black chips and winning every hand cause no matter what stupid ass mistake they did, it always made me win. Please, its great when you think everyone at the table is experience, understands the principles of the game, and noone splits a 20, but it just doesnt happen.
If you want that table, you have to keep switching till you find a bunch of by the book players who always split 8s, yada, yada.......
I always get a kick out of some asshole in a casino who tells someone you dont know what youre doing.

I once got into an elevator with a couple, married, and the husband was ranting and yelling at his wife cause she lost 100 bucks at the table, never played bj before, and he was furious. She said, so what, you lost 600, and his was, yeah, but at least I know what I was doing!

man, people are so laughable when it comes to money and gambling

play your money, dont even look at whos next to you, and if that person bothers you, get the fuck up and go somewhere else.
Its great when these morons who are always losing, blame someone at the table saying, well, if that guy didnt pull on a 17, like that one pull cost him his bankroll. Please, any gambler that sits and blames anyone else for their misfortune is an asshole, with a capital A. you play one hand at a table, if you dont like the players, leave. if theres no other tables, leave and consider yourself a winner, cause youre even, and the odds of breaking even are very minute, so take your bankroll and go spend it on icecream.

When the dealer is showing a 7 and I have anything less than a 17, I always take a hit. You always have to anticipate the dealer has a 10 underneath. It's odd that they would give you that look, because you're playing it right.

BMM, you're absolutely right, it's your money and you can decide whatever way you want to play. That's normally what the person is getting scolded at says - "My fucking money, I play whatever fucking way I want".

Sorry BMM, I don't know how you play BJ, but it does matter to me how others play on the table. I don't understand why some of you don't think bad players effects of the shoe. Maybe I'm being naive or something, but if the dealer is showing a 6 and 3 other players sits on a 15, 16, 17 and you have a pair of 10s...why wouldn't I be pissed off if he split the 10s and pull 2 more 10s?? Yeah, you're right, his money, he can do whatever he wants, but doesn't mean I can't fucking kick his ass anyways.

The other thing is ... who pulls on a 17? I certainly don't. Maybe all these years I've been playing this game all wrong LOL

And you're right... the Vietnamese too, but I can never tell the difference.

I wish I could upload some tapes of them calling and complaining about games they lost. "No, no... you no undestand me. I no want Waiders, I want Eagos."

Not splitting A's is the most retarded thing.

I usually don't care what another player does, its his game, his money....Thats why I sit last. But to split monkies when the dealer shows a bad hand is plain stupid and deserves a slap.

when I play BJ, Poker, what ever, I sometimes just get a feeling, and play on it, I have hit on 18 with the dealer showing a 10...not ALWAYS, just once in a while, and if someone doesn't like it, well fuck them.... I usually go by the basic rules of BJ, stand if dealer has a 6 or less, hit if 7 or more, depending on your cards... but sometimes, ya gotta play your gut feeling.... How about, when you stay in after a raise in poker, before the flop, with a 2 7, and the flop is 227 how fuckin great is that feeling, I know if you call everytime, you will get killed, but once in a while......

daidai-when you say Id still like to kick his ass, I just keep thinking about the scene in the movie cooler, when the big obnoxious guy calls the older guy gramps, and the gramps guy almost puts his lights out for good.

I understand what youre saying, but then u cant gamble if youre that uptight about every asshole in the place.

I dont play bj for this reason anymore.

so im a dice player, and i know dice have no mind but when I roll for 26 minutes straight, then some asshole with his 3 dollar field bet, compared to my bets on the table which might be in excess of 500 bucks puts his hand out while im rolling, and it hits his hand and I seven out.
Ive often wondered if I would have kept going, but I always gamble and assume a casino is full of assholes, and they will affect me somewhere along the line, if the dice turned over to my niumber, I would have loved it.

First off, because he's more likely to pull an A thru 5 (which would help th dealer) than a 10 thru K (more on this later)

OK, so at this point, how many 10's are in the deck? (this is a very serious question). How mant A thru 5's are in the deck? So, even if the guys does pull 2 10's, how mcuh does it effect the odds of what the dealer will pull?

Let's say we're half way thru the dealing in an 8 deck shoe (that is, 2 decks into the 4 deck cutoff point). Let's assume that the 2 decks which have been delat out are right on the money, exactly 2 full decks. So there are exactly 6 fulls decks left in the shoe. That's 96 10 spots and A thru 5 spots. If this guy pulls 2 10 spots.....

If the dealer turns over 16, the odds of getting a ten spot and busting have only been decreased by 2.1% (94/96). So how is that SO terrible? But more importantly, there are 192 cards which the delaer wpould bust on (6 decks of 6 thru K) and if he pulls 2 ten spots the odds of the dealer busting if they run up that same 16 only decrease by about 1 percent..... BFD.

And all of this is assuming the absolute worst case secenario: since there are 96 ten spots left in the deck and 120 A thru 5 spots, it's actually more likely that the guy will pull a cards which would have deprived the dealer of hitting 17 thru 21 and not busting that it is that he pulls 10 spots which would bust the dealer. Ontop of that, if the guy does pul a low card (2 thru 5), odds are that he will pull another card, which again is more likely to be an A thru 5 than a ten spot.

But guess what? This is all irrelevant!!!!!!!!!!! It all gets back to this: in the end, unless the deck is heavily possitive or negative (card counting wise) there is no net affect of this guys behaviour on the likelyhood of the dealer's busting (before you see what he pulls; if he pulls 2 twos, and then keep hitting and pulls all twos and gets 10 twos out of the deck, that's a different story. BUT THAT'S NOT SOMETHING WHICH ANYONE WOULD KNOW ABOUT BEFORE IT HAPPENED; plus, it would b BETTER for the table if that happenend, not worse). I'm sorry that I'm unable to explain it to you any better without getting overly complex, but it's just the way it is.

I am not a fan of Blackjack for these very reasons. Not trying to start a war but isn't important what the last man on the table does which directly effects the dealers would be cards. So if a Retard is sitting anchor on the table then his every retard move effects the table 100%.

Trust me, you can tell when Vietnamese people speak. They are by far the loudest asian speaking (or sometimes people might think they are just constantly arguing) in the casino.

I never said I ever yelled or even speak to anyone on the table... I keep it to myself, but in my mind I really do wanna smack them. Unlike the other asians that would be saying something to you in the native language, I would probably say it in a language you would understand.

Judging by some of the response here, I feel some people will say there is nothing wrong at not splitting A's.

Oz- At the very least, I think we do play the same style of BlackJack.

how many times have the gut feeling pay off when you hit on a 18? whenever you hit on 18, the dealer has to shout out to the pit boss to watch that hand because normally card counters might be in play.

I hear ya BMM....but truthfully, I'm not uptight...annoyed yes. similar to what you're saying... when sometimes you're on a bad streak and all of sudden you win like 3 hands in a row and some asswipe comes in just to play one hand with the $15 of chips he has left and the dealer hits 21. You truthly know at this point it's going to be one of those nights.

you're forgetting besides of the high possibility of the dealer pulling 10s, there are pretty good odds at pulling a 6 to 9. The point is, he's already got 20 which is a solid hand, why would you split them against a breaking hand? Unless you're a card reader, I don't see any reason anyone should split a pair 10s.
