I often don't watch when they are playing teams I hate and I know they have no chance of winning.
Houston is at the top of that list right now.

This series was extremely painful. Many were close - one run. HOuston is better than us but there was such a lack of execution and just bad at bats. Lets be honest - they looked bad.

He has an option to leave this year with another year left on his contract.
It's usually to get their contract extended if they feel they can get more money on the open market.

He can choose to take the $16m and stay with the Yankees or decline it.

Since there are no other first baseman on the market this year he will probably decline it and try to get the Yankees to give him a longer deal. He has the hammer this year.

If they were to fire Cashman they would let the new GM pick the manager. I persobnally think it is time for Cashman to go. The heavy reliance on analytics hasn't worked. Analytics have their place but the Yankees aren't using them right.

Yes, he becomes a free agent and the Yankees can sign him.

I was premature - he is expected to opt-out five days after the world series.

He's only 33 I'm good with them giving him 3 years. He's been our best first baseman since Tex.

If you don’t watch it, it really didn’t happen. I don’t miss a Met game, but I was out of the Country when the Mets lost so it just didn’t hurt as much. Hope you felt a little bit the same.
