Andujar and LoCastro optioned down.
Signed Greg Bird to a minor league deal. I actually like this move, he raked in Rockies triple A last year. I know he needs to stay healthy, but he seems to be over the injury bugs.

Sears made the team.
I feel like its a procedural move with Banuelos. Or if not, he will be the first up.
Maybe a trade is brewing, between Sears, Peralta, Luetge, and Banuelos, someone might have to go.
True, they overvalue their younger players. My point is that injuries come down to bad luck. Andujar looked like a star, but that awful wrist injury caused by sliding into third base was just bad luck. I'm sure he'll be raking in AAA. I hope they Yankees trade him as I would like to see him get another shot to play everyday.
The problem I have with Cashman signing Hicks and Severino was that he had one more year of control of both players. It was his policy of like 20 years NEVER to extend a player before he is eligible for free agency. So ... he breaks his own policy and makes an exception for these 2. I could see maybe Severino but Hicks????? I like his policy and would tell him to stick with it from now on.
I agree, Hicks was terrible? But any GM would have signed Sevy for that contract. If he was healthy, it was have been a steal for a few years. Sometimes you gotta take a chance.
