With the falling dollar and prices that have been on the rise a tad bit.... Still a lot cheaper than the states though and only 3 hours from NYC.

Who will be in Paradise this summer? Roll call! List your dates and citities you will be attacking.

Let's go get 'em and line 'em up with asses up in the air ready for a good hammering.

MISTER NYC :D

Actually..... I have to disagree to some extent. Whith the dollar as low as it is, a "quickie" BJ in Santo Domingo at 1,000 pesos isn't all that much cheaper than at some NYC "spanish" quickie house.

I just got back from Boca Chica which is 20 minutes from the SDQ airport.
I chose to go there cause it was close to the airport and just 30 minutes from Santo Domingo although I never made it to the city, cause the beach and hotel that I stayed in was nice! I like hooking up with young girls and I met plenty on the beach! I also met a whole bunch of retired Americans living there that just chill out at the playa Vista every day, so when I got bored and wanted to have a conversation with someone I could cause I went by myself and I don't speak much spanish. The hotel that I stayed in had a really nice restaurant in it and right in the front area before you enter the actual hotel there is a little seating area with wicker couches. You can just chill out there all day if you want and meet chicas, cause they come by that hotel to link up with us and hopefully get a date. As I said I didn't need to do that cause I met my chicas on the beach during the day and made plans for later on in the day. The hotel was really nice and cheap at $46 a day. It is called the Costalunga and it is on the internet. I friend of mine who has been to DR like 100 times has stayed there like 50 times. They have a guard with a shotgun every night in the front. The girls can go back to your room as long as they have ID and if they don't there is a hotel down the street that I took these two 18 year olds or so at the same time to for 300 pesos. I even met a chica who was on the beach visiting for the day from Santo Domingo and she has a regular job in a hair salon, so she wasn,t a regular hoe. And then my last night there I hooked up with one of the waitresses in the restaurant in my hotel and we got on a moto concho and drove on the highway for 30 minutes at like 50 mph to a disco and danced merengue all night. Holla at me and I will tell you what happened after the disco. It was a great trip, but I wish the dollar was stronger. I am already planning my next trip for a long weekend probably in August cause it is festival there.

There are a number of places along Caberte beach that offer Kite boarding / wind surfing rentals or lessons. Two choices for golf: You'll pass Playa Dorada after leaving the ariport, it's about 20 minutes from Caberete. It's a decent, if not spectacular course. The other choice is Playa Grande. I've never played it, but it's supposed to be the "Pebble Beach of the Carribean", with may holes along the ocean. It's also the pricier of the two.
All the time I've spent in Caberte has been with pre-arranged companionship, so I've never shopped for local talent. At night the disco's along the beach attact quite a crowd, if you're looking for independents, that would be a good place to start. One of the best clubs is the Bambu Bar, but again I've always been hooked up before going, so I can't vouche for the availablity of pros. There may be some incredible European eye candy in the "VIP section" (actually just a roped off booth) but they will be with pre-arranged companionship from a nearby resort, and will not freelance.

I have been looking at DR for a very long time but the problem is that a ot of people know it as a monger destination, like Amsterdam and Bangkok. I have been to bangkok few times and have had some credible stories not to be branded as a hard core monger. However repeated trips to monger destinations will cause curiosity.

I have been thinking about Costa Rica, can definitly monger out there under cover of "Rain Forest". DR besides telling people, its cheap as a carribean beach I don't really have a good cover.

I am sure eventually I will go and I should say that Mr NYC has been a good source of info on Sosua & Santa Domingo, I have also been keeping upto date on his posts on some of the other sites too.

Thanks Bosstix

What I am specifically looking for is names of decent hotels, that allow girls to come up to the room without hassle. Thanks for the one you gave. If anyone else has others, along with description. The internet is often mis-leading and I would like "first-hand" opinions. Thanks guys!

Desi,

I wouldn't worry about your rep if you travel to the DR. I know plenty of people that go there yearly that I am quite sure do not hobby. Some single guys and guys with families as well traveling with their wife and brat pack. I don't think your rep would suffer by mentioning that you're planning a vacation there. Now, if you're planning on going every other weekend, that would be a different story. Hell, if you told me you were going to north bergen every other weekend, I'd suspect what you were up to ;)

Unlike traveling to Amsterdam & Bangkok, I don't believe the DR is known as mongering central except to those that monger. And who cares what they think, cause they're in the same boat you're in. They're jealous if anything.

i love DR-you dont need cover, its cheap and beautiful!
I'm not sure what you mean by you dont need cover but if you're saying what I think you're saying, I'd strongly disagree. Although the DR woman are hot, the HIV rate in the DR is extremely high. That being said, you'd be out of your mind to not use a cover.

If I misinterpreted, what did you mean then?

You are mistaken. If you read the whole thread, it's obvious that he meant a cover story, as in something to explain frequent trips to the DR to friends, family and acquaintances.
I would agree that a cover STORY is not needed for the DR. Inthe past year more than a dozen people I know went the DR on family vacations, honeymoons, weddings, or other non-mongering get aways.

Goofy, thanks for clearing that up for me. I did read the whole thread, but most of it a few days ago, so I lost the continuity.

I can't say I agree...... especially with the exchange rate now. Casino Hotel rooms running at $200 a nite? Main dishes at average restaurants at $20 a pop? perhaps the resorts are still nice.

Yes

The resorts are still nice! Wsa just there in '04.
I stayed in La Romana. The food and beaches were perfect. The whole all-inclusive package booked by a travel agent for one week was 770 USD. The exchange rate was about 40 to 1

Now it's under 30. It was at 55 around this time last year, and everyone adjusted thier pirces "accordingly". Execpt no one has re-adjusted their prices to suit the current exchange rate.

Exactly..& Still an inexpensive vacation

However, I didn't meet many Americans and almost no Dominicans at THIS resort. Seems like it's a favorite European destination.

I went to the DR last February with teh wife and we were nauseated by the amount of snotty europeans. It is an inexpensive trip for Philadelphians since they have a direct flight there. You can usually find an all inclusive resort and flight for about $800 a week per person.

I played at Playa Grande and it is awesome!!! The course is right along the cliffs with a magnificent view. Some holes are laid out so you shoot from one cliff to another (needless to say, I had to skip this one because I suck). We went midweek and it wasn't all that expensive. And we had a hot chica bringing us drinks out on the course, but no-action.
