Its a deal!

OK, Eugene, I'll contribute a crisp dollar toward your next encounter with the provider of your choice if Janice and Bobby hook up.

BTW, the character's real name is Bobby Baccilieri.

Didn't you see the coming attractions ?

I dont need coming attractions...I could write this shit.
Ralphie never gets hit.
First of all, hbo needs him. Hes a scumbag and that keeps everyones interest in the show high.
Second of all, it breaks all rules about the way the so called family business is run.
Third, and most important, he keeps fucking up and it keeps everyone wondering when will he make the big mistake and piss tony off.
Wasnt it incredible, he beats a girl to death, in back of the club, and he doesnt even get fined for it?
Nothing, kills a dancer and nobody does shit.
The guy has immunity for almost anything as long as he doesnt fuck tony soprano out of money.

Why did she go off on him at the end of the show and push him down the stairs. Did I miss something??
I'm sure she didnt want him to leave Mrs. Aprile. She just wanted him whenever she (or he) wanted. Once he committed to her, she is bolting.

I am sure this episode was a big f**k you to all the critics of the show that say it gives Italian americans a bad name (Columbus Day).

I thought that conversation in the car at the end was hysterical.
Me too! But again I did not quite understand at the very end when Tony says "Go ask Frankie Valee" Then they play a Four Seasons song. What does that have to do with the Braves and Indians

The coming actractions were wild. Tony says to a NY boss he will serve Ralph's head on a platter if he wants it and then last scene it shows Tony walking in garage almost looking like someone is going to try and hit him. Did anyone else see that?

Excerpted from hbo.com episode guide:

Rosalie Aprile is hit especially hard by Karen's death. "There's no release," she tells Ralph, "I'm surrounded by death . . . my husband, my son, my friend . . . " Ralph, ever the caregiver, responds by telling Rosalie that he wants out of their relationship. In short order, he shows up at Janice's, happily declaring, "Now I can devote myself completely to you. Now there can be no guilt, no fear . . . just sex." But Janice has been having misgivings about her relationship with Ralph and a visit to the grief-stricken Bobby only confirms them. She tells her therapist, "I was so moved by him. Then I look at Ralph . . . " So the next time Ralph shows up at her house, she breaks up with him -- by shoving him down the stairs.

Ralph's popularity is taking a lot of hits lately. Johnny Sack is openly hostile towards him, even going so far as to knock an envelope of cash -- a nursing school graduation gift for Johnny's daughter -- out of Ralph's hand. "Stick it in your ass," the normally unflappable Johnny hisses at him. Why the animosity? During one of his clandestine collect calls to Johnny, Paulie informed him of a disparaging remark Ralph made about Ginny Sack's weight. He also let Johnny know about the money Tony made re-selling Junior's old warehouse. Carmine wants a taste of those profits, since, as Johnny puts it, "the property's hot because of the Esplanade, (and) we share the Eslpanade." Tony agrees to "work something out," but he's clearly furious, at one point telling Silvio, "Somebody's talking too much. And it's costing me money."

This was the one line from next week's show that will make me watch. True, Ralphie is a made Captain and NO ONE can fuck with him. But what if Tony wants to fuck with him? IMHO all bets are off and it is time to rock. That's why I keep coming back...

Sal "Big Pussy" Bompensiero was a capo as well, and look what happened to him- "witness protection", if I remember Tony's explanation of his disappearance.

Big pussy, was an FBI informant, that is the only way besides robbing from the boss one gets "whacked" in their business.
Ralphie has proven he is the biggest scumbag of scumbags, but Ill say it again and again, tony will never let one of his own get hit for making a shit joke or for fucking his sister.
The guy is made for this business. His attitude and selfishness are part of his persona that makes him so valuable to the family business.
He never ripped off tony and brings him in big bucks.
Thats why tony made him a capo in the first place.
Someone kills ralphie, they are dead within 2 days.
Ralphie fucks tony, hes dead within 2 days.
Ralphie is a dick, but hes not stupid.
He will constantly do stupid shit and get away with it because as long as he doesnt hurt family business, and he keeps earning, and doesnt inform to le, he will be safe.
Johny sacks from ny better think twice before he makes any decisions to attack ralphie for the bad joke.
If he hits ralphie, and gets away with it, there will be a war because tony never will agree to hitting ralphie for making a lousy joke.

BMM I agree with what you have said but what if Tony thinks Ralphie is the one giving the NY boss the info and therefore costing Tony money. All bets may be off then. This is why this show is so freaking good you never know what is going to happen next.

The Frankie Valee line was because the Indian Chief asked Tony to arranged Frankie as an entertainer for the casino as payback for trying to reach out to the indians. Ala the Rat Pack in Vegas. Tony was pissed that Silvio's concern over the Colombus Day fiasco now has him asking a favor of someone. He told Silvio that he has to make the call.

Thanks tooma that makes sense now.

BMM you may be right on with the Paulie thing especially if he has cancer and also as you say he is not the most colorful character.

Excerpt for newspaper article:

Paulie Walnuts with cancer? Fuhgeddaboudit!

Tony Sirico of The Sopranos wants to rub out a National Enquirer claim that he's seriously ill, reports the New York Daily News.

The supermarket tab alleges in its next issue that the actor who plays wiseguy Paulie Walnuts ``is battling deadly cancer that has spread from his mouth to his throat.''

The Enquirer quotes sources who claim Sirico has been undergoing radiation therapy, but ``continues smoking despite doctor's orders.''

''Those [bleepers]!'' Sirico said upon hearing the story. ``I have no cancer. I've had no radiation and no chemotherapy. It's complete b-------!''

Sirico does confirm he's been in and out of the hospital during the past year, however.

''I had a dead saliva gland removed from my tongue,'' he says. ``I also had a cyst removed from my spine last November. It was a very dangerous operation.''
