Provider Sites With An Idea Behind Them

#1
I just came across this site. From a creative standpoint, I love it, because there's a simple, strong concept behind it that gets carried through from landing page all the way through. And, although I'm sure some will complain because there's no html text and the navigation is unusual -- it doesn't matter, because the site is both entertaining and easy to use. Here's a case where a strong concept, well executed allows, them to break all the rules.

I've made my feelings about all-flash sites known. With the prevalence of Opera Mini on phones and PDA's, and ubiquitous blackberries (cursed be the name) it's even worse. Quick, I need to tell her I'm running 5 minutes late. Whats' the number?

Besides, maybe it's just me, but lady looks like a dude.

All flash sites, while pretty are extremely hard to use on PDA (and sometimes not function at all) and give a lot of traveling gents problems in hotels. It is better to limit the flash or design a clean site without the use of it. It can be done. I always have thought less is a whole lot more.

Inara;

I agree. I hate flashy websites since they take up alot of bandwidth. Even my iPhone has troubles displaying flash content. I just want a way to quickly find a number so I can get to were I have to go.

Also, I hate it when the put music in the background. One time I was surfing to locate a provider and then the music was blaring. "I wanna sex you up..." Needless to say, I got alot of looks in my general direction.

LOL - I always get compliments on my site. And I think I tell women all the time, NO MUSIC. If you don't know its coming and you are at work or home browsing, - you got explaining to do. So I always say.

1. Clean, simple design. No Free sites, esp. if you are charging $300-500 per hour. A good site runs about $500-800***0. No frills and good design. You can even do it yourself these days.

2. Be original and creative. Don't steal someone's copy. Save it as an image to make it harder to steal.

3. No flash, maybe in the photo gallery, but it is really hard to view and you miss clients.

4. Don't ramble forever and ever. You guys want short and clean. I have a blog to ramble and talk, if you want to read it, then you will :)

I really like..

I have been reading many of the provider blogs (Miki turned me on to them) and am enjoying them, I am getting a glimpse at a lifestyle, that I am involved in, but sorely ignorant on.

Miki was a gem, and very missed. I had a lot of respect for her. I like blogs, some use them as marketing tools, some use them for personal, and some people don't deserve them. That is all I can say. I like writing, so my blog is more for that purpose.

Blogs and Sites

Since I've started blogging I've had alot of responses.

I built my own site and tried to keep it as simple as possible. No music, nothing streaming; just the facts.

If you're at work the last thing you need is a flashy, showy, look over here site.

Blogging

I get a lot of traffic from blogs. My EscortBlogs.net will send about 60 hits per day. My first page of my site, after the legal disclaimer, is my "Diary", people stay on my site longer because it is there and actually like it.

Do you have any indication that you get more customers as a result of people staying on your site longer?

From my experience...

When a gent stays on your site longer and enjoys the lay out, isn't weirded out by the obnoxious music playing as he opens the page WHILE in his office and everyone comes running, and can find everything he needs to know... he will generally turn into a client.

I have had many gents tell me that they like the simplicity of my website and how thought out it is.

But also with a good website design... you must have GOOD photos... camera phone photos are not good, touched up photos are not good and lead to misrepresentation issues...

So to answer your question... if they stay on the site longer do they turn into a client, yes more often than not.

Renee

Generally speaking, the more time spent on a site, the more likely the user is to complete a transaction. Whether that statistic applies to this industry, however, I can't say for sure.

Part of my point of starting this thread was to point out that some sites have a distinct point of view, a unique concept behind them. They ooze personality, and if thought out correctly, that personality reflects on the provider's own. Others of the plain vanilla variety may still offer solid information -- but they miss an opportunity to give potential clients a better idea of who they are potentially dealing with.

Good point Monk. It is amazing how bland many of the provider sites are. It reflects minimal interest on the part of the lady in trying to distinguish herself from the pack. Very few sites display enthusiasm for the business - leading me to believe that they are in it for the short term only in spite fo the financial opportunities available to smart, ambitious women. Maybe it reflects the general lack of ambition on the part of many people.

Enjoy,

Renee:

Checked out your site. Very nice, simple, yet well organized, well designed and well written. Obviously you put a lot of thought into it. An excellent example of what you're talking about. I'd love it if you elaborated on what you consider a "good" photo to be.

Just one question: What's with the chains?

This is why I think those who use a certain "brand" of site because it is free, do themsleves more harm than good. Yes, it doesn't cost anything out of pocket, but it costs more in lost biz. But in this biz, it seem like the supply side is the only thing on earth cheaper than the demand side ;).
