With finally a weekend free... I stopped in there on a Friday night ($10 to get in), was just a few dudes wondering around, but it was VERY clean.
Saturday late night I went to Cherri Bombs $50 "Encounters" (I believe it was called, was described to me as a swingers club). With admission (pay through the door immediately at the right as you walk in) you can go into the theater in the back (all dudes and dirty as hell) too. In addition you can get a $50 lapdance upstairs for $25, but have to pay minimum tip. I wonder how much extra tip they want for any action.
"Encounters" had a number of couples, but a LOT of single dudes standing around staring. Couples were generally not open to conversation with single dudes. Maybe two attractive women were there. No alcohol served, but they had $1 sodas and free bagged chips. Overall the place was surprisingly clean, and actually had beds in the back with curtains, and mirrors on the ceiling.

I never went to such "swingers clubs" so I can't comment. But FWIW when I used to go to swingers club with my then SO (was in Plainview during the 80's and called Club Flipit ) they had a strict rule that no unaccompanied guys were allowed in - single girls were always welcome.

The club I was referring to was a legit restaurant in the middle of an industrial park so the area was deserted on Saturday night when the club operated. The single girls,maybe one or two would show up and got in either free or half price ( I forget which) were usually there; I assume they were not ringers as they were there other times with their SO when he was on out of town business or whatever; there was simply no need for hired help. No illegal activities (drugs) were tolerated on premises - strictly enforced - they threw you out and revoked your membership if the caught you anywhere in place snorting, smoking or injecting drugs. However what you did in your car in the parking lot was your business. Also no exposing of genitals or any sexual activities was allowed on premises (again - the parking lot rule applied).
They had a DJ, good dance floor, reasonably priced drinks and overall a good time even if you were not there for swinging and just wanted to spice up your relationship with you SO or wife. You could get your drinks at the bar or there was a cocktail (pun not intended) waitress who went around to the tables.
Usually you picked up another couple and went home or hotel or someone held a party afterwards that couples got invited to where a bunch of mattresses were brought out to the party room- kinda a different meaning to "going to the mattresses"
BTW - everything was bare and amazing at it would seem no one ever got (or reported) an STD during 2 years I attended - everyone either exchanged means of notification in case of an STD or you just saw them at the club the next sat night.

If there are some single girls at the club, do the guys care if they were paid to be there? 
I mean, that would suck if you were going to try to meet a new life partner, but if you are just going to have some fun, well, I certainly wouldn't care if some of the girls were pros.

Also, the women at the club I used to go to were teachers, secretaries, nurses, stay at home moms, etc., who wanted to add some spice into their lives and really, really liked sex. From my experience with both pro's and swingers the experience you get is completely different. Not only that but after the swinging session was over, my SO was so horney that the rest of the week until the next Saturday night was spectacular.
Of course. There is no money exchanging hands at a swingers club, except to get in the door. People don't go to a swingers party to pay for it. A girl asking for money would not get any takers and would probably get asked to leave.

The places that I have been to don't have private rooms. There are rooms, but doors must be kept open and anyone can come in and watch. But there are mattresses and couches and massage tables and sex swings and such. Plenty of places to fuck.

I remember reading about a restaurant/catering hall place in a strip mall in eastern Nassau at the junction of Hicksville Road and Wantagh Avenue that had a once a week swing thing going on back about five or so years ago. Simply a meet-and-greet type of environment. No on-premises sex allowed at all. Of course, that could be the reason they stopped. Maybe it's just not appealing. And didn't some of the Edison strip places host a night at one time? I imagine that sex was permitted at those events, though.
