Just as I cannot bear to watch "2-guys-on-one-girl" porn, I am creeped out by these kinds of parties where all the guys are having as much fun hanging out with each other as they are having with the ladies. I am probably talking out of my ass here, but they also seem a bit hypocritical to me: the simmering bisexuality in the men is so blatant ... yet it is entirely unspoken.
I like being with ladies, exclusively. I also like to be a little more discreet in general about hobbying.

I would love to go, but I live on Long Island and just can't sneak away for that many hours at that time of day to get into the city. Plus, I can't come home stinkin like perfume or hopping in the shower without arousing suspicion.
I also have heard, and this is only from what I heard having not gone, that there is very little privacy even in VIP. I don't mind getting a wild LD on the floor, but if I wanna go VIP, I would like a little privacy. I prefer to be the only naked guy with a hardon in the room.

Well, if you're creeped out by it, then there's not very much we can say that'll change your mind, if that's what we'd really wanna do anyway.
I guess all we can do is explain why we like it, and WHY we don't consider it "bisexuality"!!!
Like the other poster asked, have you ever hung out in a bar with friends? Say, at a sports bar? The deal there is that yes, you're hanging out bullshitting with friends, but you're also following a sport that you enjoy, and that makes the experience much more fun. You watch the game, you comment on it, maybe you even bet on it! It's all just for fun.
Well, you can say that hanging out at ASSCons is like that for us -- and the GIRLS are our favorite sport! Talking to them, flirting with them, grabbing them, and of course "dancing" and doing everything else with them. And doing that around our friends who also enjoy doing that is just fun!
As an aside, I personally don't enjoy bringing "civilian" friends and co-workers to the clubs, whether the clubs are above or under-ground. Never have. I end up feeling like I'm the "host", and I have to make sure they're enjoy themselves, etc. -- and I also never liked talking to them in the clubs! Maybe it's because I'm usually so much more of a perv than they are, that I feel self-conscious about it somewhat.
But with these guys, shit... they're PERVS by definition! And hey, it's not like we do two-on-one laps or two-on-one VIP, or *anything* like that. When I'm with a girl, it's just me and her. Except, like I said, when we're just at the bar bullshitting, and then it just becomes a fun thing to talk with a girl while you're bullshitting with your friend.

Here's where you do have a point, but for some reason it never ends up being that way. You may very well see your friends while you're in the lap room, but in my experience you'll usually *never* notice them in the VIP room, possibly because all the guys are basically *buried*, and the focus is really just on the girls anyway. Also, a much lower percentage of guys overall go to the VIP room, so that cuts down on the possibilities as well.

Lets see... There's a shit load of good reasons but I'll start with the obvious and let others add theirs...
A bunch of people discussing breaking the law on a public forum and then agreeing to meet in a public place so as to break more laws. That's a real good reason if you ask me.
There's actually a long forgotten rule about posting anything on this board pertaining to any public meetings among board members. There was a good reason for that rule at the time. Ass-con somehow manages to skirt that rule (unless it's no longer enforced).

I have two choice, I dont like the east village ( not that I am exactly sure where it is) and parking is too hard.
The last time I tried to find parking down there, I drove around for hours like a country bumpkin idiot. It was impossible. Never again.
When I do attend another ass con event, and I will, I will be sure to have someone else drive,( hi jsesh) or walk...
