Police charge ***** woman with prostitution
From Press staff reports

(Saw this posted elsewhere. Can't say if its legitimate)

NORTHFIELD - A woman was arrested and charged with prostitution in her home on ****** Drive Tuesday morning, the result of a month-long investigation by the Police Department.

**** *****, 51, was released on her own recognizance after police entered her home with a warrant and apprehended her, Detective Sgt Arthur Faden said.

****** was arrested on two counts of promoting prostitution.

Police said they found contraband and evidence relating to prostitution after they were given a tip from a resident last month.

"Several undercover police operations were used in the investigation," Faden said.

The first hearing for ***** will be Sept. 3.

Police will continue to investigate the matter, Faden said.

Looks legit
Maybe she legally changed her name to ****** for promotional purposes, as did many Hollywood names years ago. I saw a photo of her car on her site: license plate is Coyote.

LE there sure does spend their time keeping their streets safe from violent crime.

Article said they used undercover tactics. Can't believe that this was so important to them to spend such resources. Just to bag a woman in her own home.

Bummer.

My first reaction to this thread when I saw real names and addresses being discussed was to delete them and help protect anyone from getting outted.

After some consultation with others, I have now determined that since this is all information that is accessible from major newspapers there's no point to editing any more information that is publicly available.

Please remeber we are talking about a real person who now has some major problems to deal with and your sensitivity is appreciated.

Damn, I always thought she was being a little too obvious and not discrete enough. Hope she makes out OK. Thought she was in Woodbridge this week though???

she mentioned on the NY section, on that Fratella thread, that some guy gave her the "red alert" this past week.
I did point to the fact that it was very risky doing things from your own home. She just said she felt safer at her own place. Yeah, right. Here is what happen when we let our defenses wide open.
You can see that most busts and crimes are commited because providers are not careful enough to pick different places for their activities.
I really hope she's ok and can get out of this one without major problems.

As an indie, this definitely concerns me, and even more so, that Ashcroft (pause for Frau Blucher's horrses to whinny) and his henchmen are firing what they term themselves to be the opening salvo in a war on obscenity. World News Tonight just had a piece on the prosecution of an LA porn outfit called Extreme Productions (I don't know that biz: are they biggies? One would assume so), and apparently there will be more about it on Nightline tonight. Set your VCR's, kids, and settle in for a long spell, 'cause you know this is just the beginning...

She was only coming up to Woodbridge today - in fact, I had appointment with her for this afternoon. Spoke to her yesterday, everything was cool. Called this morning, got machine message saying, loosly translated, her life was in the crapper, which she attributed to a "major theft." She did sound very broken up.

Don't know if I'd be tooooo concerned, cb - this is not a DOJ/FBI operation - and NYC is not Northfield, NJ. For those who don't know, Northfield is a bedroom community just oustide Atlantic City. Not to put too fine a point on it, it's a f**kin hick town. And, as Betty pointed out, operating out of one's home, especially when that home is on a residential street in Hicktown, NJ, is not a really good idea.

I too hope Josi comes out of this okay. I suppose I'm also a just a little tiny bit paranoid, since my ***** addy and cell # might well have been on her computer. I console myself with the thought that this is not the FBI looking for 9/11 suspects, and I just don't see the Northfield PD issuing subpoenas to ISPs and cell carriers all over the place just to track down everyone in Josi's black book.

If I get a knock on the door, I'll be sure to tell - soon as I get to an internet cafe!

I wonder what contraban they found? Spike heels and thongs? Mirror on the ceiling? 10,000 digital pictures of herself?

Seriously though, I feel bad for her because she was having so much fun doing this. I hope they didn't take her shit away like her computer and stuff, that would suck.

Anyone try her web site tonight? Sounds like she was given a slap on the wrist right now from the article, but who knows?

Goddam Cat, don't get many Mel Brooks references on this board!! (I thought Marty Feldman stole the picture!)

All points noted, Hyabby, and no, I'm not too worried about my immediate situation, at the moment. But the fact that Ashcroft has said that a war on obscenity is a personal mission for him, should worry us all: this is the guy who's pushing hard, all the time, to expand information-gathering rights for the government, and not only limit our right to know what's being gathered, but that it's being gathered at all...

On 9/11, I had a long conversation with a man on the steps of St. John the Divine, about the carte blanche this horrible event had just handed the government, and how many laws would be passed, in its name, that would be used for the purpose of prosecuting our own citizens for offenses having absolutely nothing to do with terrorism and homeland security. And, hard as it is to believe, it hasn't even been two years, yet...

"Vices are those acts by which a man harms himself or his property.
Crimes are those acts by which one man harms the person or property of another." -Lysander Spooner

And as long as people keep voting for the Socialist War Party (the Repulicrats and Demipublicans) this is the police state we're going to continue to get.

Speaking of 9/11, where is bin Laden...or for that matter, Saddam? Gee, has another of our government's promises failed?

It appears that the only thing government is capable of doing is arresting people for vices.
