You got an STD from a bbj?
Which STD?
BillyS, you moved my comment from another thread to start the "is my wife cheating thread", I don't recall which thread it started in
....
Managed to catch a STD from a BBBJ from a Coram girl in Dec 2019, and the Walgreens sent the text to the wife not me that the Rx was ready (if it ever occurs again I won't use any Big Store Rx that could out me again like that);
....
Here some of the previous posts about bbj's and STI/STD's... go back to them the threads have lots of good information and debate from other Utopia members as well.
The bbbj has been the primary source of gonorrhea [and the antibiotic resistant one] in the US for over a decade now.
It made big news in 2017, multiple main stream news sources

And this...

Over-reacting ... yes, but just because statistically the chances of catching anything is less than 1 per a few thousand times, there's still a chance.
For perspective ylinthe US about 1 in 1,800 people are diagnosed with syphilis in the United States each year (over 360,000,000 million people, and over 300,000,000 motor vehicles and over 400,000,000 firearms in private US citizens hands).

The following STDs can be contracted through oral sex:
- Oral herpes
- Genital herpes
- Genital warts (which are caused by HPV)
- Hepatitis A
- Chlamydia
- Gonorrhea
- Syphilis
Performing OR receiving unprotected oral sex puts you at risk of contracting these STDs.

Is bbfs and daty the same risk?
According to the CDC, it depends.
Are you giving or receiving?
Also, technically and statistically bbj vs bbfs nearly similar "risk" rates of catching something from a provider [female to male]; though bbjs have a higher risk now a days with the antibiotic resistant gonorrhea. if you're already taking the chance with BBBJ's adding in BBFS not likely to increase risks of STD's of course this is a personal risk based "stats" approach, ultimately we need to decide for ourselves where that risk- based decision line is;
The chances are still low, and if receiving only even lower

So, While the risk isn't 0% for, HIV transmission from female to male it is pretty close. Almost 100% of the new cases for males occurs in male-male transmission or via drug(dirty needle) transmission.
HIV transmission per exposure to the virus are usually expressed in percentages or as odds.
Sharing a needle 1 time with an HIV+ drug user is 0.67% or 1 in 149; the US CDC expresses it as 67 out of 10,000 exposures.
HIV- male vaginal sex with HIV+ female, 0.4% or 1 in 2,500 exposures.... the same exact rate if the male was getting a blowjob. So for a guy bbj or bbfs same chances of getting HIV.
Again those numbers are for one time exposures....in case you’re curious, there is formula for cumulative risk:
1 - ( ( 1 - x ) ^ y )
in which x is the risk per exposure (as a decimal) and y is the number of exposures. So obviously YMMV.
Young gay/bisexual men makeup the largest group of new cases and are generally the source for transmission to females(who largely get the virus as a result of unprotected sex)
I did contact the provider that gave it to me, whether she got it treated or not I have no idea, or if she even informed any of her other known clients...
FYI... while on the discussion about BB, and the increased risks of exposure/ transmission of STI's/STD's, also be aware of the criminal penalties if infected and still do the BB exposing countless mongers, providers and their SO's to additional harms.
N.Y. State laws regarding STI/STD's.
