"You can't handle the truth!" and other modern myths

And for all I know you could be an escort who likes to pose as a guy...so I'll give you that :)

I noticed that guys...not all of them but the ones who become regulars like to ask a lot of questions. If it is genuine curiosity I never minded that because I like to ask questions myself so what is fair is fair :)

And do you have to pay for all four hours even though the sex part is 90 minutes? Being a guy gets complicated. If I were a guy I wouldn't like that at all. I think I would rather have a steady girlfriend than negotiate that stuff all the time....which is why I don't understand men sometimes...which is why I'm a woman I guess....I'm meandering too! The moon must be full! Thanks for having the balls to answer me and assuage my burning curiosity ew....I appreciate that more than you know.

I'm not very complicated, I pay for the full time. Tip also.

If I presumed that she enjoyed my company so much that she would do it for free then I would be deluded. Business is business and I respect that.

I'm a lazy guy at heart. I prefer the familiarity of the same person every week rather than go out exploring. Because mostly what the new expeirinces offer is just novelty.

So why not a girlfriend? That's a longer story and one that I don't want to get into online. I do tell my escorts though.

I am gender neutral in my postings. I have posted for up to a year on the PR board and some people thought I was a girl.

I'm too civil online. I could play bad poster for a while if you want to see me be masculine for a bit. I can flame with the best of them.

Hey Candide could be an escort posing to be a guy posting his/her views about going with escorts...I guess we've already been there.

A question about JAG, why don't you just go back? Or are you there already?

Finally a woman who will admit it's not easy being a man and women don't understand us at times. How can they, after all they are not us, the "complicated" creatures that we are... lol
editorial note: the above was posted lightheartedly

Slinky, you beat me to it.

RE:"And for all I know you could be an escort who likes to pose as a guy...so I'll give you that"
BWAAAHAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA"

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

ew,

YMMV applies, IMO, to much more than just services provided. It applies to the ladies attitude, apartment description if incall, the whole ball of wax.

If I see a lady reviewed as something like "That dirty stankin' ho was the pits. She was old and ugly, etc, etc, etc" and previous reviews said quite the opposite, well, YMMV obviously applies to that john's review and I would give it the weight it deserves, which of course in this case is zero. Sometimes the lady might have an off day. Sometimes the gentleman is NO gentleman.

Of course it's difficult but you have to try to read into what the poster is writing.

Sometimes, even *I* have an off day.

I am glad Slinky and littleguy appreciate a good joke once in a while :) even if the joke's on me...literally!

Dawn - one day you will realize how totally unimportant that painful BS is - and you will see how beautiful and sexy your woman's body really is and you will feel sorry for those people who had to write that negative painful crap to work out their own stuff. No matter how you look - and no matter what real physical flaws you have....you must be attractive or you would not have wound up in that business to start with. So reason tells me that the truely upsetting part of all this is that someone feels compelled to write that in the first place. I mean, if a man is having sex with a woman and he stops to take out a notepad and starts taking notes on flaws I would say that he needs to take a sex break and do something else for a while and then come back to it when he can enjoy mating again. It is hard to enjoy things when you have had too much for the wrong reasons.

ew - you write like Raymond Chandler. No way would I ever take your "voice" for a woman's voice. (But then again, I have a good ear) :) And those people on the PR board must be cracked if they thought you were a girl! You are a guy and there is no doubt in my mind. Your reasoning, your conciseness, your coolness...you are either a guy or you are K.S. :) just kidding...though K.S. is the coolest headed chick I ever heard, when she isn't signing off with "xoxo" that is :)

I would probably very well be back there in JAG wasting my time if that was an option...but it is definitely not an option. Evidently the JAG people do not want me in there and I would be afraid to attempt re-entry :) (I'm not that headstrong and brazen!) And I have to agree with them...it is for the best...so you guys can stop wondering. I'm not there and won't be. I mean enough is enough already...time to get on with life. Right now I'm trying to get myself to visit this board only once a week - that is my goal.

Candide i must say Dawn seems to have a low self esteem about herself, when she fails to realize its an extreme minority of assholes who say she is 200lbs with brown eyes etc. The 99% of the guys out there know who the real Dawn is- The cute and gorgeous blond who weighs 116lbs with green/gray eyes! and who is a real Southern Belle!. Thats the one who I know!

Well Carl, it doesn't matter who the "real" Dawn is. I think Dawn has normal self esteem. It is hard to maintain it when you have a lot of people intent on beating it down. Because if you have people discussing you in a way you are not meant to ever ever hear...a way that women are often discussed but are not privy too because if they were it would be traumatic...well if by chance the lady should have the comments sent to her it is a blow to her self esteem and that isn't her fault. That is very human for that to hurt and if the lady did not try to break into JAG but was sent the stuff (and it has happened on U.G. recently to a provider I won't mention) then that isn't her fault at all.

Also, since people are basically sheepish (in my opinion) and follow the "herd" all it takes is one lop-sided crack about a woman, even a teeny tiny comment about some minor flaw to ruin her business. Guys all like to fuck the same women so they can talk about it and brag afterwards. Which is why I think it is unforgivable if the review isn't true but that will continue to happen. I think saying Dawn is fat is a bit insane.

Also, I want to mention that while watching "G-String Divas' I was constantly seeing the celllulite bouncing just under the surface of the dancers - that is proof that it is not possible to have an absolutely flawless body unless you are created in a wax museum. Those girls who dance are muscular and in-shape. Sometimes that puts pressure on the ligature which connects the skin to the muscles and some lumps or pockets of fat show through. If they didn't have any fat at all they wouldn't menstruate and then they wouldn't be healthy women anymore. In my opinion that was not unattractive though. It was kind of sexy. They still looked like drop dead gorgeous and in-shape dancers. But in my mind I kept going, "uh oh! uh oh, watch that Honey - you will lose your clients!" :) that was my JAG training talking. And I think that is a sickness.

Yesterday I was walking around Tribeca and I saw a young mother wheeling a stroller containing an infant and also dragging along a toddler by the hand. This woman was slim, trim and had absolutely flawless white legs without a mark or a vein or an ounce of cellulite. Yet she has two young children. And I found myself wondering if maybe on some level that is why her husband married her and had children with her...because of her superior genes and I wondered how hard she works and struggles to keep herself looking that flawless (being a wife and mother is her *business*) ...and you could go on wondering about this stuff till you write a book!

Just wanted to chime in to say ditto to EW's excellent posts in this thread and on the NY board.

A board that is simply all fluff will wither and die for lack of interest. A board that is entirely comprised of flames will eventually drive away even the most reasonable and patient contributor. While I think a board that leans more toward edginess will appeal to the broadest audience and ellicit the most thought provoking posts, I do think that it is important to be respectful of other people's opinions and VERY important to try to not take any of this personally.

"Yeah, but we're a train wreck" Slinky you crack me up! :)

WSB - Trying very hard not to take it personally is like having will power. It just isn't enough in the face of the human condition. I doubt very much that you, yourself, could resist taking some things on an escort board personally all the time. I mean, doesn't it feel good to stand up for who you are and what you believe? Part of that is sometimes saying what you see going on though it isn't popular opinion - if it is important and interesting enough then it is worth saying and fighting about - and you, yourself, are, in my opinion, a master of the intelligent, piercing eye and commentary :) That's personal and I wouldn't miss it for anything :) I elect WSB for winner of the "Bill Maher" award of U. G.

Thanks for the kind words Candide!

I agree with most of what you say above, though I think that you can make unpopular statements and stand-up for your beliefs without taking any of the opposing views personally. Attorneys do this all of the time.

I was really sitting here nodding my heading while reading some of EW's comments (someone with whom I don't always agree), because I think he hit the nail on the head about how sometimes guys who write somewhat biting commentary are just misunderstood. Not only is such commentary generally much more interesting, clever, thought-provoking, etc., than posts that simply glorify escorts, johns, stereo systems, operating systems, religions, large cap stocks, etc., but this is also how most people on Internet chat boards actually interact. This world of faux gentility that TBD created is increadibly intellectually dishonest and I would hate to see *that* aspect of TBD become part of UG.

Got a plane to catch!

Best,

WSB
