Oh, and as for taking "old" viagra -- don't do it. It seems like old ones don't work at all, but the side effects are amplified. I took an old one I found laying around from a few years back, and had a headache for 3 days.

I was the one who typed 250 mg - you are right, I meant 25 mg.

A couple questions for you guys: Does anyone else ever have trouble swallowing food after taking viagra? I've noticed this and even my doctor hadn't heard of that side effect.

Also, does anything help with the facial flushing?

A pill cutter; cut the dose in half; same result with substantially less side effects.

I tried viagra out even though I do not have ED--I was given one 100mg pill and chopped it in half. I found that it worked great and the only side effect I got was a slight twinge in the gut for a very short bit. Kicked in after about one hour and got max effect for about 3 or 4 hours after that--basically could get an erection no problem regardless of how many times I had gotten off during that period. I also had the day or two of lingering effect mentioned above--just like being on a run of extra horniness for a day or two. Having said that, I generally tend not to get much in the way of side effects from most things.

Just be careful if you order online. If it sounds too cheap to be true, it probably is. I've heard LOTS of people getting screwed with "great viagra prices online".

There are some foreign countries that sell similar products much cheaper, but you are also more likely to get screwed over. They open up a website, collect a lot of orders, and then disappear. Or worse yet, get some pills that are dangerous or just plain fake.

Your best bet is to go to your doctor. Second best would be to go to a somewhat well known website. You'll pay more, but you'll get the real thing.

it's safer just to get a script from your doctor. a while back, pfizer had some promotion where you could get a sample of Viagra for free. All you needed was a doctor's rx. there was a coupon you printed up and brought to your pharmacist. you might want to check to see if they still offer it.

All Drs. will give samples. Mine gave me a handfull and said to just stop in if I wanted more.
P.S. Thorn: took your advise last night and did 25 mg and 2 motrin. No headache and was able to just get 2 shots in about 1.5 hrs. Might try 50 mg next time.
Enjoy

I had V prescribed to increase penil sensitivity, rather than to get wood. The more engorged, the more sensitive it gets. I took 25mg about 30min before my sessions, which gave me time to get there, get through the foreplay and DATY and be fully effective when I needed it. The side effect was sufficient wood for the second cup, but strangely enough it made the second pop more difficult; I turned into the energizer bunny. My prescription plan gives me 8 pill per month for $8.- with no price difference between 25, 50 or 100mg.. pill cutter and sharp knife come in handy :)
I found no difference in the quality of wood between each strength, the side effects increased exponentially. 25mg did the job, with the least amount of visual and nasal impact. Still needed Advil for the headache. After about six months, the second pop issue started bothering me. I ventured into a session without taking V and found I could enjoy a normal two cup session like a teenager. I've always said I'm a head-case, guess this proves it :)
Cialis and Levitra are incompatible with betablockers. Viagra's effects are dimished by them, but no major incompatibilities. I reduced the dosage of betablockers while taking V, which turned out to be totally adequate. I've since questioned the dosages of every subscribed prescription and find most doctors overmedicate out of habit.

Vorhaut, are you actually referring to ALPHA Blockers? Cialis and Levitra are contraindicated in men who are taking an alpha blocker for hypertension or prostate problems. Viagra may be taken in the same situation with strong caution but no actual contraindication. The reason is that the effect of adding these meds to alpha blockers may be a precipitous drop in blood pressure. One of the more common reasons for the prescribing of vitamin V et. al is to counteract the effect of beta blockers on sexual performance. By the way what you say about the pill cutter is completely correct.

Oops! My bad... you are right... I take alpha (not beta) blockers for the prostate.

Viagra Storage:

Store it in a dark amber colored GLASS bottle with a screw on metal or
plastic cap. Medicines stored in this manner last much longer. Use small
bottles so they are almost filled up with the pills. Cotton can sometimes
be used to displace the air. Don't keep the medicine in a kitchen, bathroom
or any damp area. Keep it in a dry room in a dark closet or drawer away
from sunlight.

Antibiotics stored in this manner by the milatary were tested 25 years
after their production and still found to be nearly 100% effective.
All medicines stored in this manner have amazingly long half lives,
far greater than 25 years.

Forget the expiration dates on most of your meds except those for
heart/stroke problems. Do not forget the good storage rules. Twenty years
ago, most good private pharmacies filled all prescriptions in glass bottles.

The expiration dates are reduced by those plastic bottles they use now
that permit air to enter. You can still buy some of the small glass
bottles in large, private pharmacies. Tight, glass and away from moisture
and sunlight.

Viagara Usage:

Unless you have serious problems, casual users wanting firmer errections
can often get by with 1/8 of 100mg Viagra; headaches and flushing will
be nominal and orgasm will not be prevented, as sometimes is when the
dosage is too high; this is when it is hard, does not go away, you keep
going for 45 minutes and cannot get off and just get sore and stay hard.

Also take the 1/8 (or even less) Viagra and one capsule of L-Arginine.
Don't buy the overpriced L-Arginine at Rite-Aid, CVS, etc., buy a bottle
of 100 via internet from Twin-labs for about $10 or less.

Sometimes just try one capsule of L-Arginine one hour before without
viagra and see what it does; it actually helps many people since it
works on the nitric oxide principle as does Viagra. And it costs 10 cents.

Hope this helps storage, useage, alternatives and saving money so that
we can see more providers to enrich them.

Don't worry about buying generic viagra over the internet; it is cheaper and
they actually usually make it a little stronger, so you need even less.

I buy some for my relatives abroad, who are shy about going to a doctor
(a common problem with men is some cultures). They actually prefer
the Indian Siagra and the Omnigen viagra from Belize to the genuine Viagra.
The only one to avoid is from China, they sometimes make perfect look-alike
duds.
