The Scene.
I've been to most of the LI clubs. there was a time where I hit 2 clubs a night, every night for a week in Austin. Been to clubs in PA and even a club in Vermont.
The Scene is the one that would empty my wallet the quickest. The "Joy of Austin" is the other.
I agree that the ROI or return on investment on VIPs in a club as compared to a provider sucks. If you are a horny guy and do not know about edison ave peeps, CL erotica, cityvibe, UG etc, then you are left with the regular SCs.
As wolf & lightweight have already mentioned the ladies working there are usually hotter than other places. Typical attire is the evening dress, cocktail dress or 'little back dress'. I think it makes the girls & the place seem more classy or high end. As for the Russians that are bussed in, they usually speak more english than Russians at other clubs. I think this is because the club fosters or at least gives the guys & girls a chance to have better communication/dialog. Yeah I know, you don't go to a club for conversation but it seems much easier to 'hit it off' with a girl there compared to other clubs. I think The Scene has more sqr ft as compared to other clubs so it takes more customers to pack the place as compared to other LI clubs like blush or Carosel. The Scene usually has the DJ at lower volume, many low chairs around the stage area. If you don't want to hang there, you can stand, or you can go to the bar. The bar usually has a dancer behind it too.

Ill be up the road having a nice steak dinner.. LOLI'll agree with the empting the wallet part, for a LI place don't expect to have any fun unless you are ready to drop a load. This is a place that can make 500 disappear before you know it. It is one of the reason I stopped going. One more detail that no one mentioned on week nights there is no cover but on Wed, Fri, and Sat 10 cover. The mistake you made LW is going to the lap dance room, I sit in a back corner watching the stage with a dancer in my lap a lot more fun than the room and a lot cheaper and no bouncer watching...
Trigeek I also agree but I do like to watch people and if you can control yourself this can be a fun place. On the other hand I have watched guy after guy get walked to the ATM by a dancer before they disappear into the LD room. Me I have a rule going into a place like that, I only carry with me what I intend to spend. That is one place where your cash goes fast, but they do a booming business.
Controlling yourself is the problem-especially when the drinks are flowing. A co-worker and myself had to go to chicago on a businees trip a couple years ago and on the last day we decided to check out a local strip club as we blew off the last meeting. I am not sure if this the standard for chicago but the drinks were free. This place was huge and we were there for two shifts. The night shift, there must have been 50 or so girls walking around and most of them flat out beautiful. I remember us talking to ourselves saying we can hang here all day and drink for free as long as we keep saying no to the lapdances. I ended up spending aroud 800 bucks for just basic grinding. I swear they pumped something into the air. We took a oath to never confess to such stupidity and it still burns me when I think of what i could have gotten for that money besides blue balls.
There is a standing joke at this place I have heard more than once, before you go in you need to cash in your 401K. This may sound funny as i use to hang out with the bouncers here but you watch these guys come in with big old smiles on their faces all rareing to go but when they come out they have a couple of singles in their hands and are saying stuff like I have no idea where all my money went. The girls there are good real good. They do read someone like me and most seem to not ask me for a dance must be my angry face...
