It was late night and my usual places were closed and this new place looked intriguing, especially the girls photos that appeared genuine. Located in a private building off of Park avenue, and I actually passed it by twice as the address wasnt clearly marked. Called from outside and they buzzed me in. The below picture of Eva posted by slow and easy is indeed on the website. It was not there when I looked on Saturday as I mentioned below. I remain a bit confused, however, in that the initial review posted below was also posted on another site a few minutes before it was posted here but it didn't say a picture of Eva could not be found but, rather, included a link to an ad that had the below picture of Eva in it. The ad, which did not appear in my search results, was dated the same day as the reviews with a time about two hours earlier. I don't know, it just makes me wonder.

I gave Sweet Spa 29 a chance. I went there yesterday but walked for a couple of reasons. Here is how it played out over the past several days.
1. I called a couple times over several days, asking who was available? I was told "everyone on website was available, come over honey."
2. Stop by yesterday and mamasan say I bring you nice girl. I said I'd like to see all the 5 girls available. She said I will bring you Eva, you will like her.
3. She ends up bringing me Bobbie. I told her she said she was going to bring Eva. Next she brings Eva.
4. I said there were 5 girls I was told were available, and I wanted to pick from the 5.
5. Mamasan asked me what was wrong with girl she showed me I said nothing was wrong. I simply wanted to pick from the promised 5 girls.
6. I could clearly feel Mamasan was really unhappy with my wanting to see the 5 choices. I said okay never mind, I am not feeling up to this challenge.

None of this would be an issue if you had a better sense of what the girls are like. These 5 second introductions in a doorway, without so much as a word exchanged is intolerable to me. No opportunity to figure out who speaks how much english and who has a twinkle in their eye. Sweet Spa 29's web site contains very nice photos of girls; as you would expect. And the girls are not dressed in the house as they are in the online photos, direct correlations are difficult. What is the problem with seeing all the talent? I am not suggesting they are playing bait & switch; rather this is form of bait & cage. They think once they get you there you will simply act on impulse and take whatever is offered. There so many spas to choose from in NYC, don't they get this? Spas advertising here explicitly inform you of what to expect. I am not big fan of dropping $200.00 to $240.00 to simply find out what is on the menu and what kind of presentation will it have. I need a good feeling going into a blind relationship. Sweet Spa 29 wasn't able to give me a good confident feeling.

Ive been mongering for near 20yrs. "Slow" do you have you any idea how these places run their business?
Spas never march out the girls for a lineup like in Asia. First of all, most of the girls are busy at any given time and unless you reserved the one you want she will be unavailable. Second, it doesnt make sense to have too many girls employed if the clients cant support them, the girls and management dont want girls sitting around all day just waiting for YOU to decide to come in. So if there is say 2-3 clients coming in every hour they will have a max of 3 girls working. Plus they ALL want you to just come in and will say what it takes to do that. Thats just how it works. And if $200 is too much to play with, you should stick to chinatown.

The divide that is tough for me to cross is the one with a half a dozen "real" photos of 5 or 6 girls. The next step is to meet 1 or 2 of the now dressed girls, and make a $200-$240 decision in 5 seconds or less.
There are midtown places that happily parade the troop, without a grumble, or a second thought. I appreciate the laters business model.

So places became MUCH smaller and less fancy. I remember a spot off Northern Bvd close to the 59th St bridge in Queens which had big screen TVs (before they were common), a full bar and a swimming pool.

Tried this place. Average/a bit run down. Got Bobbie. Cute and above average looking, petite with a slim body and nice top. I miss those pre-Dinkins days – those days in the 1980s – when I would walk into places like the 29th Street Health Club and see 15+ smiling K-Girls sitting in Danskins. When I would walk into the reception area, my heart would soar like a hawk!
