Review writing school

I don't think the point is standardizing UG reviews. I think that would actually be kind of boring. I think the point is more encouraging people to think about what to put into reviews, so that the reviews they write will have some value.

The cum shot

The conclusion and summary

As you get to the end of the review you should start to wrap things up by giving a overall rating. (and I dont mean by using a number ratings system- see my comments on the editted version of appearence decription) Although if your review was written well enough a person would be able to determine if it was a good session, it's a good idea to give a quick wrap up. Would you see her again? Have you seen her before and would like to see her over and over? (and let us know if her performance has changed as a result) Would you recommend her to others even though you didnt like the experience? (ie. "She gave a good CBJ and altho I like BBBJ's I think some of you who enjoy covered BJ's may want to give her a shot.") Would you recommend her with some caveats? (ie. "She gave a good session, if you don't mind that you may have to wait 2 weeks to get screened, she may be worth your 250.") If you didnt like the experience sum up your review with why. The purpose of a conclusion is to give a brief summary and bring your opinion home.

Miscellany

Some other things to bring up:

Reasons not to write a review

a)You're leaving something important out because you dont want others to know.

If you got BBFS and don't want to tell us because you'll feel judged or because she told you that "you're the only one" (BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!) then don't bother writing the review. You're purposely misleading us and flat out lying and doing everyone involved a disservice.
If you want to write a review on someone but leaveout the contact on purpose because she's UTR then you're just bragging and not really writing a review. Go start a subject in the general section instead. Title it, "Im a studmuffin" and watch as youre glorified by your fellow mongers.

b) You get free or discounted sessions for good reviews.

Go away you fucking piece of shit shill.

c) You're afraid of the consequences.

See what BMM just wrote a few posts above. I hate to discourage honest reviews, but BMM is right, you can be as generic as possible in a review and an agency or escort may realize who you are and may try to retaliate. Just know that it is a possibility.

I think something of importance is that before someone rips apart a girl for offering not such a good session, they should first consider if they contributed to the poor reception they received.
Using a review to fuck some girl over, only because she said dont stick your finger in my ass, and he decided to try to keep sticking it up her ass, so she became defensive, and decided she wasnt going to try to please him anymore, you get my drift, just make sure if you, the reviewer werent such a good boy, you dont post a shit review, even though it actually played out like that, only because you, the reviewer, decided you didnt have to pay attention to a girls wishes.
Ive seen so many girls that Ive read bad reviews, and after I had a great session with the girl, I tell her I was hesitant, cause of a bad review, and sometimes they actually know the reviewer, and explain things like oh, yeah, that guy, insisted on BBFS and or a bbbj, and I told him no, I dont, and he kept insisting, telling me he was not going to pay me my full amount, or threatened to write a bad review...etc...etc......

wow, no other opinions or comments?

You guys are quick to roast someone, so I guess I did an okay job.

I was thinking of having a flame-free critique thread where I copy reviews and point out the good and "needs work" without blasting the reviewer or do you think that would just create animosity?

Also would a fake review example be a good idea?

You did a great job, C9. Reviews written in the way you suggest would be very useful.

But they would also require more time, thought and reporting than goes into most reviews here. While I hope your guidelines move some posters to offer more detail, I also hope they don't intimidate others into not bothering to post.

Monger expectations, description of the venue, provider's appearance and services, phrases and practices to avoid, detail on fees and extras, conclusion and summary, reasons not to post at all ... I can't object to any one of these items. But put them all together and it's a pretty long, daunting list of requirements. Some guys might just think twice about reporting if they feel they're turning in a term paper.

In the end I figure guys will continue to share info on their own terms, and I'm glad they do.

See the title of this section?

"Cloud Nine's Review School"

Like any school:

Some people go to school, some don't.

Some people pay attention, some don't.

Some people want to learn, some don't.

Some people actually learn something, some don't.

Some people graduate, some don't.

Some people even go on to Higher Education, some don't.

This is a great job and must have taken a lot of work.Actually it brought a couple of points to my attention regarding some flaws in my own reviews that only BMM has ever called me on directly(lack of detail in the action and climax description).I'm often surprised that I'll write a review and there is little or no response at all.I attribute that to lack of interest in the girls I review whether due to the price point or something else.It takes me a long time to write a review, but I always forget some things and may not give enough detail in each of the essential categories C9 has indicated.I'm always willing to respond to comments and questions in a review thread and in an anal kind of way considered it my responsibility(now, there's a word that'll take the fun out of anything) as thread starter and reviewer.

This is a double mini review which has had 333 views and 0 responses to date.Although C9 has cited BMM and me in the prologue to this thread as accomplished reviewers, these reviews have flaws.I encourage you to critique.I wrote these reviews after this thread was started and was actually hoping for more critical response than usual and got zero instead.

There is a more fundamental question of whether UG is review friendly site. This has been debated before in threads regarding the possibility of a dedicated section for reviews which was discussed years ago but never brought to fruition. Some seemed to think that since UG was not structured as a data base like the *** review area it was not ideal for review writing.Others suggested that UG was more important as a "lifestyle" board for whoremongers rather than review site,a place for think pieces and interesting anecdotes to be shared by us and less important as a review site. The health of UG dpends on both. The lifestyle discussions are what distinguishes this place from the rest, but a lot of traffic and potentially dollars are generated by reviews.

One of the reasons I think your reviews don't get a big response is that guys only seem to respond to raves that are very explicit. Any attempt to write what you and I would think of as a review -- something that tries to evaluate the experience in a balanced, measured, critical manner -- is met with silence. Probably cuz the review itself doesn't work as a sort of porno (apparently, what guys want is a review to stimulate them, and then they think they can live the experience themselves by booking the subject). I'm pretty sure this is why my reviews never got much of a response (and, as far as I can tell, almost no one ever went to see service providers on their basis) back when I used to write them on JAG, either.

Perhaps, as I think jl has pointed out in the past, real beneift of a review isn't the conclusion reached by the reviewer(i.e. "good" or "bad"), but the description of the details which allow the reader to decide for themselves if they would enjoy a similar session. That's why the "she's great, treat her right"..... umm..... "reviews" which some people post/advocate are meaningless because even if true, only work if the reader likes the exact same things as the writer likes, and the reader has no clue as to whether that's the case or not, because since the writere never gives a detailed description of what he really likes, how would anyone know if they liked the same things as the writer does?

I think part of why this happens is that most people assume that everyone likes exactly what they like, and dislike everything they dislike. Which I why I don't understand why they still make Vanilla, when everyone knows Chocolate is better.

For example, C9 wrote a review of a high end session which he fealt wasn't worth the $. But I'll bet there are some guys who spend those same amount of $ all the time who would think "wow, I'd like to see that girl and have that experience" after reading his review.

omitted details

I saw this girl named Vanessa in January. She asked me what I liked at the beginning of the session and I said,"A routine plain vanilla session."About 90 minutes later she stuck her ass in the air and as my tongue cautiously approached her anus she softly said,"That's not vanilla, baby."

On a more serious note,I saw a girl who was reviewed on UG by someone else who asked me to choke her while fucking. When I asked a different girl whom I had seen a few times to sit on my cock after a long BJ,she pulled a condom out of the drawer with one hand, pointed to it with her other index finger, and quizzically asked,"We use these,....don't we?"(BTW,we did.)

Some details can be too awkwardly intimate to include in a review.

I used to feel nooone really cared if a review I wrote was up or not.

Im gonna tell ya all again, greyfox, and others, when you put up a positive review of a girl, even if you felt as if it was the best, the important parts of a review that each look for, like bbbj, kissing, safety, is she for real, is she a rip, these things, are worth their weight in gold to guys who never post, but run to see these girls.

Ill give one classic example of the power of UG, I dont need to make a list.
Years and years ago, I posted a review of a girl I saw called Angel.
I loved Angel, and saw her till she retired.
She told me herself, she got enough customers off that one review to last her the 2 years she worked after that.
2 fucking years, if that doesnt speak for itself, well.....

You left out the funniest part: How many calls did she get in what time period after the review went up?

You never know what some other guy finds important, so it is good to fill out ALL the fields in the review format: you may not care if the girl had very long hair, but someone may be seraching on that. You may not care if she was a blonde or a brunette, but someone may be searching on that. You may not care if she was 5'3" or 5'7", but someone may be searching on that....................
