One of my favorite character actors.
Funny story, I actually met him once. In the days before the Internet and UG I found a place in Chelsea in Johns Action Guide.
Walking out of the place and crossing the street I noticed him and he kinda looked back at me with a " yes it's me expression" and seemed approachable. So I walked over and wound up having about a fifteen, twenty minutes conversation with him.
It was well before BB so I guess he liked that someone recognized him.
But he was actually a really nice guy, we talked about his different roles I had seen him in.
