Going back to the 1990s, every AMP I've ever visited has had a camera in the lobby and/or directly outside the front door. They're not spying on you or trying to collect video to blackmail you with, they just want to see who you are before they let you in.
I wrote a post here on UG under the Dream Dream You board last July, mentioning that I was stashed in the small front office (with Arlene) for a few minutes while the MMS answered the door. I noticed that the computer screen on the desk had live shots from at least a dozen cameras, most of them outside the spa showing the front door from various angles. I could even see my car parked around 50 feet east of the front door (it was late evening) including a clear view of my license plate, so presumably the MMS could watch me exit the spa, walk down the street, into my car, and drive away.
