IP tracking

IP tracking tracks me right to my (small) town in Connecticut. I don't really like it because I feel violated. Never mind the websites that promise me oodles of willing scantily clad females just waiting to connect with pathetic fucks like me in XXX, Ct. I could use my ATT wireless card and connect to the net. That's a little better because now they think I am in Bumfuck, Missouri or some place, but I suffer deterioration in connection speed. Then, I wonder, are there any services or programs that can fool any IP tracker into thinking that I am actually located in say, France or China or some place. Does this exist? Anybody know?

There are many masking programs out there. Some are fairly expensive. You can try free and shareware programs many available on download.com. To fool an IP tracker into thinking you are in another country you need to be pretty good at network hacking and know how to redirect your signal. There is no program I am aware of that will do that for you. By the way even your wireless signal is tracible. It is linked to your account and just because you are miles from home it don't mean if they want to they can trace you. Understand this IP tracking can only trace you back to your CO which will give them the town or locality but without the cooperation of the ISP they can not track you back to your home. That usually requires a court order or a hacker of superior quality. There are email IP blocker software but if a good security person wants you he can still get you no matter what you are using unless you can get your hands on some DOD protective software and I doubt you will have any luck with that.

So what if they have your IP address, just as long as they don't get your home address.

With the IP address and some good research and detective work, I think it would be pretty easy to find anyone...

Your ISP knows your IP address but it will take a court order for them to release it. Which means only LE can get it..or a really good hacker. Unless your looking at Ki---e porn no one will care.....

SirF.....

If you're asking hypothetical questions, this is a good thread. If you think someone wants to get under your skin so to speak, lay off and disconnect your computer and leave it at another location for a while.

Just a thought.

try using one of the free proxy servers that populate the internet world. Check out the lst here:

http://www.publicproxyservers.com/proxy/list_rating1.html

Many of these ip's track to Europe or Asia.
Here is what I get from my antivirus software on this link:

Trend Micro Internet Security has identified this Web page as undesirable.

Address: http://www.publicproxyservers.com/proxy/list_rating1.html
Credibility: Dangerous
If you still want to see this blocked page:

1. Click the Windows Start button and launch Trend Micro Internet Security from the list under All Programs.

2. Click Internet & Email Controls.

3. Click the Settings... button under Parental Controls or Protection Against Web Threats.

4. Click the List of Approved Web Sites link in the next window that opens.

5. Copy and paste the address of the blocked Web site into the list.

Neither Norton, Avast or Kapersky return such a flag. I've been using various links w/no problem, but if it troubles you then don't use it.

who cares what your ip address is. you can browse the net. if anything worry about your phone number on a providers caller id/phone record if she gets taken in. and even then.. what are they going to do, come after you for making a phone call?
