My reason for the question is I just want to know if the reason the younger women work in the U.S. instead of in China is because they have trouble competing with the other girls there. Or do they just want to work in America.

They don't WANT to do this job anywhere, bro. But coming to America means they can make good money (IF they worked at a place like Kings Spa before it got busted and closed). Having said that, the Chinese women that come here will tell you that the air is cleaner/fresher, the food available to buy is cleaner and more plentiful, and living conditions are better (that's with 5 or 6 of them living together in a house sometimes!). The girls coming over here are mostly from rural areas in China. They think America is heaven but they have to put themselves through hell to stay here.

Just a note: China has more young males than females, I think it has the highest ratio in the world (about 20% difference in the ages we all might be interested in).

This is almost certainly because of the past 1 child policy resulting in a combination of less females being born and less females, ahem, surviving at birth, as since a family was only allowed 1 child it is desirable to have a male to support the parents in old age.
This has caused a major shortage of brides for young males (brides tend to go to older males who have had time to acquire more wealth) so it would seem logical that women don't need to resort to prostitution for support.

I suspect (thru conversations with the "working" Chinese women I talk to) that they have left undesirable relationships in China to come to the US. Almost every "working" Chinese woman I have talked to has 1 child back in China.
