Women love to advertise how classy they are, how elite they are, etc. They make the advertising about THEM and what they want to be instead of thinking about what the customer wants.
I would love to see what would happen if a woman wrote an ad:
I'M NOT CLASSY
I am a total pig. I will do things to you that you will be too embarassed about to tell your friends. And you will love it.
I once (long time ago when personal ads were in the newspaper and you responded with ink and pen via snail mail to a box number) I saw piece in one of the NY mags (again paper) that was a decoder of terms used in the adverts for the uninitiated as to what the person really was..
One of the terms was "classy"
The decode was: an overweight, unfit, never married, dyed hair mid 50's real estate sales person in clothes that are one or two sizes too small, who claims she is 39, perfectly built, works out at a fitness club, where she spends her time sitting on a machine complaining to other overweight, unfit, never married, dyed hair mid 50's women that she works out for 2 hours every day and just can't lose any weight.
IMHO the women who advertise "classy" actually believe they are classy. This delusion extends to other terms I have seen such as goddess and Barbie that from the photos show they in no way resemble either.
I think you may be on to something (you sort of are implying it) if they posted as you suggested - I suspect they would get more business (at the expense of their ego).
