Borgata, Trump Taj or Tropicana have nice poker rooms, always with decent 1/2 NL or 2/5 NL games going....
I think it varies, but in my experience the "best" 1/2 NL games have been at the Taj... but I'm pretty much a beginner at NL cash games.

---

by the way, how would one be able to find this "downtown" poker room, if one were so inclined...?

Borgata recently expanded their poker room, haven't been there since the expansion but have been there many times. It's one of the only AC casinos that feels like LV. Very professional, a great electronic que system, good crowd of players, comfortable seats.

Also have played at the Trop poker room. Much smaller, more antiquated, the que is still a handwritten chalk board. Fewer tables means a longer wait if they're crowded.

I agree with RuffToy's assessment of the expanded Borgata Poker Room....

... and on top of that, there is a relatively new, kick-ass FOOD COURT downstairs.

It' easy to find. When you go out the door of the underground booty place, make a left and then a right at the corner, and it's on the next block on the left hand side. But they won't let you in unless they know you.

Best Odds...

Let me add to Cloud Nine...best casino odds are Blackjack - if you know basic strategy and Craps - pass/don't pass, come/don't come and back up your bets to the casino limit.

^^i hear what your saying. but i never like playing against the house.

the most action yesterday was at the TAJ. i went to play in a tournet with a $1000 pay out and something like $200 for 5th place. took a bad beat on a fairly medium stack. the cash games....not even going to talk about it. i was mis-reading the entire day. like they say thats poker.

JACK T you know i cant post info like that on this board....sorry

poker question

in tourney play..... in a heads up between two people all in scenario pre flop must both players turn over their cards immediately befro ethe dealer shows the flop?

Once a headsup action is All In, the cards are opened. So yes, pre-flop they are exposed before the flop. I'm not aware of any distinction between tourney or non-tourney play.

Not sure what's actually written down. However, there are many "understood" rules in the poker room such as no foul language, conducting yourself in a respectable manner, as well as rules of play. The finest unwritten rule IMHO, is that a player can get up, walk away from his chips for an indeterminant amount of time, and NO ONE will ever touch his money. Your money is safer, left exposed on a poker table than in a bank.

I would assume that there is some master list of casino rules but if you ever want to know anything...just ask the dealer or the floorman. They will always be very eager to help you out.
