For all those talking about these people are doing something illegal, blah blah blah:

The government seems to have no problem with sites like this:
https://drugs-forum.com/forums/

Does that seem about right to you?
They opened the door to see if they could. Now that they know no one is really paying attention as long as it seems like a worthy American cause they will come up with FONTA fight online narcotics trafficking act to silence that sector..... :)

That is possible, but considering how widespread he opioid epidemic is and how many people are screaming about solving it, you would think that if it's one type of site which would get banned over the other, the answer seems pretty obvious.
But you have the far right, the far left, and a ton of idiot celebrities foisting false statistics on the American public regarding sex trafficking, and this country has always been extremely backwards as compared to most other Western countries when it comes to anything having to do with sex.

Must be 4 million people of which a few 100 turn tricks.

Or they could just NOT fuck for a living. If a woman is so desperate and intent on using her sexuality to make a living, just get a webcam or do porn. This was inevitable. Anonymous sex work was going to end sooner or later.
That is much easier said than done in many cases. Some are unable to work conventional jobs because of health issues or criminal records, or already have jobs and do this as side work to supplement insufficient income. There are actual studies that have shown there are a number of reasons why some choose to go into sex work instead of, or in addition to, other jobs. It's not realistic to assume that escorts, for example, can just go find jobs in other fields or switch to porn. The porn industry has its own dangers and complications, one of them being the loss of anonymity that allows private workers to maintain or enter careers in other fields. And what other industries do you suggest for those who are unable to work because of poor health, or struggle to find work because they're told they don't have the requisite experience that can only come from being hired in the field in question, thus creating a catch-22?

It's easy to make assumptions on the basis of personal prejudices instead of the facts, and easier still to stand in judgment. It's quite another to truly empathize with others and see things from their perspective.

It is called putting all your eggs in one basket. A very important life lesson that should have been learned in grammar school... :D
I don't suppose your grammar lessons included why using sentence fragments instead of complete sentences is a bad thing. ;)

I can't believe someone who illegally engages these women in their illegal activity has no sympathy or empathy for what is happening to them. I mean, I knew some mongers hated the women, but it's bizarre to see it on display so openly.
Hey, the Internet allows for nitwits to display their imbecility and cruelty with virtual impunity. Mind you, they're displaying it on a forum owned and operated by someone with the power to deny them at least one platform for that sort of childishness. But that would be up to the site owner and moderators.

I have read most of the posts here with regards to the new laws etc. and this is what I do not understand- How are "some" sites still up?? Sites that are US based-- like the one that copies BP and others? I do not understand if they are up, why are they not being utilized like BP and CL was in terms of rampant ads etc... Also, how are they not shut down?

That I couldn't say. It's not uncommon for laws to be applied selectively and inconsistently. Whether and how one is prosecuted is often determined by connections or a clack thereof, be it to financial or social resources.

At this point, except for BP itself, any other site that's closed has been shut down voluntarily by the site operators. Some may not have chosen to do so. Obviously, UG has not.

Gonna have to start threads here on UG, like requesting "wins" on http://usa.anon-ib.co/ny/catalog.html.

Start listing the "escort" numbers and post reviews during this CL/BP drought.

Next service should have the servers based outside of the US.

Good news is that this could sway the free market, and services donations would come down. . no new business for the girls, or it could backfire and limited new girls raises rates

I would love to see them all back on the streets.

It's simple. No one has been shut down because of the new law yet. BP was shut down over disputes they were having with the government for over a decade. All the sites that are gone decided to pull the plug of their own accord.

Why would they do that? Why pull their own cord if their sites are not in violation? At least not yet?

Because being hauled in on a federal felony charge is going to ruin the person's life. Your question is kind of like "why would someone stop robbing banks if they haven't been arrested yet?".
Now, a lot of people think this new law is unconstitutional (us included), but taking a case all the way to the Supreme Court to challenge the constitutionality of a law is an extremely long and expensive process, and probably not one that most people would want to be involved with.
We have scheduled meetings with our attorney to get opinions on what is likely to happen moving forward.

Why is it that when I search for utopiaguide and click on the link it redirects me to some sextexting or fuckbook or another sex site.

I had to find page 12 of the college thread to finally get to the home page.. I tried several links before that worked.

Any reason why? Anyone having same issue?

I have had the same problem. It is no longer utopiaguide.COM, it is utopiaguide.PL.
