A "alert" or "warning" board here on UG

#1
Ladies and gentlemen,

What do you think of an idea of having an "alert" or "warning" board here on UG?

For example, I've been a client of a girl here in NJ. She has a friend in a bordering state that is also in the business. This other girl has become aware of a certain guy who has been ripping off and physically harming othe girls. She has a load of info about this guy,(names, telephone numbers and email addresses) but because she is not really internet savvy she is not sure of how to get this info to the right people.

Maybe a board here where such info could be posted or exchanged. I'm not talking about guys getting outed for bad reviews.

Opinions/comments/suggestions gladly accepted.

foward it to those who run the boards and they can get it into the appropriate(the girls) hands. it should never be on an open board.

i understand the concerns about vigilantism, mistaken identity, and similar problems.

i am, however, also concerned about escorts having to be beholden to board moderators and/or cliques of other escorts. that's an awful lot of power in relatively few hands. a lot of women are in this precisely because they don't want to be 'involved' with 'power brokers', of any kind.

for example, some escorts very suddenly appear near the top of certain lists in their first year, to everyone's surprise. the following year, they plummet in ranking, or even disappear from that list entirely. there are probably any number of legitimate reasons for this. and, yet, it is also possible that some of these women have chosen unaffiliation over popularity. since i don't know, and since under such circumstances i can't know, i am very uncomfortable with having the whole matter of clients who employ force or fraud being handled entirely behind closed doors by {whom?}.

let me make very clear that i have no such concern about the people in positions of responsibility at UG. (i could be mistaken about this; but i strongly doubt it.)

but, there are many board operators i know nothing at all about. i am skeptical, on the face of it, that all of them, be they male or female, will act perfectly responsibly in every case, given the various cross-currents of self-interest vs. the public good.

furthermore, precisely because LE is not going to be contacted unless the case involves a corpus delicti, there is a greater burden on us clients (than there normally would be on laymen) to not remain silent in the face of abuse against women. as one escort recently put it, in her locality there was much bluster and chest-pounding about a tragic incident there that very quickly reverted to the typical fixations about breast size and rankings on lists.

still further, probably the majority of asps aren't even online. therefore online clients must be informed, so they can inform those of their companions who are not online or who are otherwise 'unaffiliated'.

however, i am also concerned about the legal exposure of the board operators themselves. anyone can file a lawsuit for defamation. so, while there has to be information circulated among clients known, by their longevity, to be responsible, the boards themselves cannot afford the risk of being a dumping ground for people's personal information. it's not fair to the board.

in closing, i concur with Phantom's goal. for those of us who are new yorkers, the bottom line is Kitty Genovese. see: http://www.lihistory.com/8/hs818a.htm

well i was gonna say "EXCEPT TBD" but thought i'd go easy on him here.

and there are no lists here for that very reason.......

only I and a few others can call slinky a fucking hypocrite (FH) when it comes to blackmailing the girls for a ranking.........lol.

theres plenty of ways to get info into the girls hands. posting heresay on a public board (without 100% proof) is not the way to go.

guy...i'm on tbd's bad client list.......just so you know how valid his info is. only difference is, the poor bastards name they have for me.......has been dead for over 20 years......so much for having the right names, huh?

actually, it was rather simple....

a certain fellow client told a certain top 10 girl that i was a "not so good a boy"(he didn't like me i guess).....she cancled and posted my name(not my real one, but the one i gave her on the phone) on that stupid list. it was because of a certain LI legend who found out about it and told me, that i know it's there. it does have my old screen name (the only correct info) posted as well. this LI girl has vouched for me several times to others and explained the situation to other girls i've seen. it's why i always come to her defense when she's attacked from time to time.
