JMHO, but I don't think this team is only one player away from WS team.

I agree they need to make a big move to stay in contention but I don't see the type of player available I'd trade Dominguez or Spencer Jones for. Especially since you don't know if you are going to be able to resign Soto, and Verdugo.

Otherwise everyone is on the block. They have a lot of depth at catcher in the minors.

Earlier in the year I posted about being concerned about their lack of runs. I know they were near the top of the league in runs scored at the time and probably still are; but I feel like this lineup should have been doing more. And now that their pitching is letting up it is really showing.

Why not bring up Jones and give him some at bats at DH and CF to spell Judge. Can't be worse than Grisham/JD Davis.
Jorbit Vivas tearing up AAA right now and he plays 2B and 3B , what am I missing. He CANT BE WORSE than DJ/Torres/Oswaldo trio

Jones is only at AA. I know some players make the jump but he did overhaul his swing over the winter so maybe they want him to get AB's down there.
Rice has been impressive and scouts have been talking about him for a while and the hits are starting to fall in for Wells.
Maybe they are part of the solution going forward.

I'm not seeing anything from guys like Buster Onley, Tom Verducci, and guys like that.

All I'm seeing is click bait type articles from guys I never heard of suggesting ridiculous trades, like Dominguez for Taillion.

I’m seeing what you are. If I had to guess - we will get some middle of the road reliever and that’s it. Looks like a repeat of 22 and 23. May not even make the playoffs. I may root for that. I think missing the playoffs may be the only way to really make the changes needed. Otherwise Hal will be fine with the status quo.

Damn last nights lineup was such a far cry from last week when we had Jamhali Jones and JD Davis in the 1 and 4 slots.

Astros are looking to the playoffs and got that Japanese lefty form Toronto who gave us fits in the beginning of the year.

I checked the standings this morning and we are tired for the best record in majors.

Unfortunately the team we are tied with is in our division but still, it's mid August. We must be doing something right.

Haven't watched much, actually not at all since teams stopped pitching to Judge.

Put the game on while driving home from the beach yesterday and caught the last few hours of Holme's nail biting 9th.

The only thing worse than Holmes was Chris Carton doing play by play.

That was a really bad idea, he is beyond horrible and totally unlistenable.
