And just to clarify myself bringing this discussion back where it started and away from the very beautiful Hazel thread. I carry my miranda rights with me at all times because having those rights in your vehicle, on your person and in your belongings should your possessions need to be cataloged at some point will pretty much guarantee that you are and were aware of them. If it is your word against his somewhere down the line that you waived your rights then you have that to back you up. Knowing to keep your mouth shut during a stop and being able to prove that you would keep your mouth shut are two different things. 
I'm not sure of the point about carrying the Miranda rights with you. You talking about a piece of paper with it written on it? How does having that paper help or matter?

Having your Miranda rights on a card or knowing your rights provides no protection should you verbally waive those rights or if the police -say- you waived those rights.

There will probably be more street action as the weather warms up. You may also be able to cruise through certain motel parking lots for a while when it warms up. It won;t last long, IMHO, as district attorneys will may it
