Why was my post deleted?

Unlike the old board software, the new software does not allow us to search for deleted posts so you are at least going to have to point us at the threads you are talking about.

PS Did you read the rules to see if you could answer your own question?

A post was not deleted, but a thread that I started today in New York was locked. I don't know what I did that would have caused this. But I would appreciate knowing so I can avoid this in the future.

Slinkys house , his rules.
I know it's according to Slinkys rules, I am wondering what rule I may have violated?
And if it is as Li631 suggested that I neglected to include a hyphen "-" between area code and number, wouldn't it make sense to tell me so, or simply add the hyphen?

Slinky grew tired of correcting people after repeatedly posting the format rule that phone numbers should be in a XXX-XXX-XXXX format, so that there is uniformity across the board. I myself have reminded members on several occasions and there are still members like yourself that don't follow the format. So now threads that violate the rule will simply be locked.

The problem of wrong format, even a minor deviation, may seem like nitpicking but it is not. In order to search on UG for a phone # (e.g., prior to seeing an escort to check out reviews) you need to have a consistent format that everyone knows about.

As far as "wouldn't it make sense to tell me so - Slinky has - in the rules.

I get it and understand, but for one f'ing hypen. It seems like it would have made far less trouble for all if the hypen and a note was added. I know I try to demonstrate good membership here.

Consider it as an educational experience performed by a professor who is tired of repeating the same subject matter without success. - I'm sure that you and anyone else reading this thread will be educated in the acceptable format for posting #'s.

Time to move on.
