And Carvel is still around. Most of their stores were sitting on prime lots with drive up type parking, so they probably lost their leases over time and had strip malls or banks built on those lots while the Carvels were forced to relocate to smaller locations. There's still about a half dozen in Queens... one is on Metropolitan ave and 72rd in Forest Hills. That one relocated a few years ago from it's original location.
