The recent dustup with Vera and ***
The other thread was getting a little long, so I thought I would start a new thread.
I am the 'financial enabler' of Vera mentioned by ***.
This information is based on my best available sources, and reflects what I believe to be true.
So yes, I know quite a bit about her. Someone asked if she had needle marks, and the answer is no. I assure you that I would have found any if they were there.
*** doesn't claim there are any there, either. When confronted with that, he can only come up with some crazy story about needles under the tongue.
Is *** a liar? Well, that would depend upon what the meaning of 'is' is, as Clinton would say. *** knew that the "friend" he got his information from was an acquaintance of hers that had just swindled her out of over a hundred bucks. Such information doesn't pass the laugh test.
To the best of my knowledge, events unfolded thusly:
EzrLove has, and has had, a reputation most of us would dearly like to have. I've never seen so many providers spontaneously affirm a client's good manners.
Apparently, EzrLove and a provider got hammered, and in the course of this some unprotected sex happened. EzrLove has apparently admitted it. This is, apparently, what TBD is referring too when he says he has proof of EzrLove's behavior. Now I don't condone unprotected sex -- a condom is a requirement. And I don't drink -- so I'm not terribly sympathetic to an excuse based upon inebriation. But BOTH parties bear blame where both are inebriated. Perhaps Ezr deserves a rap on the knuckles, but not the chair.
*** is apparently a failed law student. He knows it isn't considered proper to introduce evidence of past convictions in a current prosecution. Personally, I think we should -- if a person has a history of stealing cars, then in fact I do think it is more likely they stole *this* car.
But that hasn't been what *** has been doing. He has been using the idea that somone is guilty of jaywalking to convict them of murder. Specifically, he has been asserting that Ezr is probably drugging ladies and then having unprotected sex with them. He has apparnently admitted that he is, quite simply, out to get Ezr.
Ok, so why did Vera get involved in the spat? Even at the risk of her business?
Vera is an academic, and one of her specialities is ethics. She thought what was being done was UNJUST and wrong. Even if the charges had been accurate, she felt it was morally wrong for *** to enjoy doing what he was doing. It speaks of less than admirable motives.
So Vera let him know she wasn't going to let the matter drop, or let him get away with it.
His major reason appears to be just to get Ezr out of jealousy and spite, but perhaps a reason for his behavior is that Vera knows things about *** that would cause other men to chuckle at him, and he decided he had to invent stories to destroy her credibility. The irony is she wouldn't have done that. Since Vera was once on terms of friendship with ***, she refuses to consider using any information divulged in confidence to damage an ex-friend. Even one this vile.
She hasn't actually seen him in some while. She dropped him.
Those of you who have been on the board for a long time no that *** always seems to be here. The reason, apparently, is that these boards *are* his life. He is very bright, but also very unsuccessful. He doesn't post reviews of the ladies he has seen because by and large he can't actually afford to see any of them. His entire sense of self revolves around his image and status on these boards. Here, he can pretend to be the man he wants to be.
That accounts for his visceral hatred of Ezr, a man who has earned more "atta boy's" from providers than anyone else I've ever seen. It accounts for his apparent resentment of anyone with a good reputation, and his incessant need for providers to join his net debates and agree with him.
Someone who's center of self-identity is threatened will do almost anything to protect it. They will not only lie to protect it, very often they will kill. In "The Gift of Fear" many of the men that kill women after they get restraining orders explain their reasons in exactly those terms.
I'll close this post similar to the way I opened it. I am a large financial supporter of Vera. I'm not completely objective, but I can guarantee I'd have noticed track marks.
Vera has some problems, as have we all. But she wouldn't touch a needle, she lost a friend that way. (Something else that *** knew).
She has no problems that would prevent me from marrying her and having unprotected sex with her for the rest of my life. And I'm a pretty straight arrow. I've never been *drunk* let alone used drugs. And unlike *** I'm not only incredibly smart (see note), but I'm successful and have a lot to live for.
