I was reading through the pissy thread, put on some music, began trying to work....
Wow, there cannot be a happier few minutes of jumpin' around song than Clifton Chenier doing "Zydeco Sont Pas Sale."
Well, for sheer happiness, Phil Spector tunes and those girlie girl groups of that era are right up there, too. At least for me. If I was standing on the ledge, and "My Boyfriend's Back" came on the radio, I would change my mind.
I don't mean major art. Major art doesn't fit into a word like happy. But I don't mean crap, either....
It's hard to be truly light-hearted....A real achievement.
