Oh, those Eagles

I thought this was a spin-off thread from "perfect record" and OETT was commenting on the "Hotel California" type Eagles.

The original "country rock" quartet, with Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner, was much better than subsequent "mellow SoCal rock" versions of the band.

Thats just cause they didn't play this week. The Cowboys aren't quite bad enough to lose when they aren't playing -- close but not quite.

McNabb's performance yesterday is everything that's right about sports. Here's hoping to a full, speedy recovery for a great person and a great player.

What's really fucked up is that they allowed the franchise player to play 3/4's of the game w/ a fractured fibula. Didn't even take an x -ray.

That's like Julie letting Bill Flounder get the husband experience from a lady w/ herpes.

Pete Rozelle must be smiling...

My take on the whole NFL situation is that, somewhere in heaven, Pete Rozelle must be looking down and saying to himself, "They've finally achieved parity." This is one season, where teams actually have to PLAY every weekend. The books must have made a mint off of the game last night.

I mean parity is a bitch, but at least it's harder to know who will definately walk in their games. Be honest... who had the Texans? The Redskins lost to the lowly Jags last week, then turned around and beat the "hot" Rams... Hell, even Dallas is good for a surprise win. Who would have picked Chicago to be in the shitter after the good season they had last year? I still don't get Indianapolis... It's pretty wide open fans. It will be interesting, and all the while, Pete Rozelle is smiling...

Well, I never would have imagined them beating either San Fran or the Rams with a backup QB. With the remaining schedule, they could run the table and dominate home field advantage since they've won the first tie breaker.

Amazing.

Fate? Destiny? Could this be the year of the Bird?

"The Iggles are making a killing for books and casino's right now."

And for me too. I made some great bucks the last two weeks. Anytime you can get points with a solid team, you don't say how, you say how much. And it's also great to have a team in the league who is grossly overrated and overbet like the Rams, both in the spread and the over/under.
