suggestions for remote PC connection

are there any alternatives to GotoMyPC.com? I need to be able to access my desktop with my laptop when travelling. Thanks for any input.

the only one i use (and swear by) is logmein- www.logmein.com you can try out their pro version for free which allows file transfer and some other features but the free version is what i use to get to my pcs at home from work and to fix friends pcs i have them install logmein and invite me to their pcs... all very easy

Well... The benefit of using VNC is that its free and lightweight... But it takes a little figuring out.
