Got back from a short trip to the Europa Hotel in Sosua! Great time. I've been to Boca Chica 2x in the past 6 years and all I can say is Sosua is much better. Ceaner and better woman. I had the best tasting breakfast Bacon at the Europa's restaurant. A Clean hotel, small pool that no one ever used. Great water pressure lots of hot water and great A/C., soap and shampoo dispenser in shower. Front desk woman are efficient and super friendly, as are the maids and handy man.
Spent 4 days at the Hotel. Hit 1 chica per night and got 2 massages during the day. I hit the beach daily too! Got a manicure and pedicure on the beach for $11.00 US
The exchange rate is pretty good $1.00 is = to 23 Paso.... Girls go for about 500-600 Paso's or about $25. a massage (hour) is $300 Paso's or about $13.00 US.
The disco was nice too! It's called High Caribe. A real meat market! Crowd starts at midnight. I didn't get to Casino which was near disco. Ill get there next trip. I went for the woman and the massage and the SUN !!! Got all 3.
At no time did I ever feel unsafe while there, at any hour of the day or night.
Without a doubt, I'm going back!
There seems to be a Currency exchange, mini -market and Cyber Cafe on every corner. It's all there in Sosua.
Just a few tips.
1) Before your trip, go to Wallmart or Kmart pick up a $3.00 small ultra thin calculator to figure out/convert your dinner bill, chica prices/store prices etc, just keep it in your shirt pocket or beach bag when you go out.
2) Before your trip, go to your bank and get $50 in American singles "dollar bills" They come in handy. You can use them to tip at a sidewalk bar. I really never figured how much you tip for drinks. I tried to see what others left as tips, but didnt see them. I dont think they tip like we do in the USA. Rum and cokes cost about $1.23 US or 25 Paso's
3) bring a wash cloth or two or a bath sponge. Gosh, am i one only one who uses one? Seems unless your in a resort or 5 star hotel you dont get them anymore. In the past years ive been to Puerto Rico, Miami's South beach and Sosua. Cant get a wash cloth in my room, I brought some on this trip . Glad I did. It's nice to scub yourself clean!
Just remember, to hide the washcloth in the morning, as the maid may take it by mistake with the dirty towels.
4) Upon departure, leave early, I was in line at POP Airport check In for almost 90 minutes My luggage got searched 2 times. US dept of Agraculture search and a security search. Searcher found my ebay "Indian God Lotion" stay hard spray/lasting spray..... He looked and smiled, I just said "yeah it works" and smiled
