More likely, they will emphasize his military background and ignore his Islamic connections (Unless some strong evidence of a connection emerges. With McVeigh, the militia groups all rejected him, but they STILL pushed the inference that right wing radical groups caused the whole thing ).

McVeigh was a white guy, so the media had a field day with him.

The snipers are a black Islamist, and a black illegal immigrant "yout". Too politically correct to trash non-stop. They will blabble on about his military training, though, because that is not off limits to the liberal press.

The funny-and not unexpected thing-was that Wednesday evening, I heard a discussion among Talking Heads that their speculation was the perp was a "white militarist, possibly a neo-nazi, like Timothy McVeigh".

Good story in todays NYTimes about how the "experts/profilers" got this whole thing wrong.
