EZRlove has graciously offered to give Rudy a (covered) hj if he would just lighten up.
however, there's a rumor going around that hizzoner has been sending clients emails demanding uncovered hj's!
writing as a client who would never think of giving a hj ucovered, i think Rudy's behavior is "irreprehensible"!

although i agree that rudy has been too aggressive in his war on porn and prostitution.......
having a mistress or cheating has nothing to do with it. call me when you catch him in show world......
besides, with a wife like donna (wannabe actress/news person) hanover, you'd cheat too. maybe this new chick will clean out his pipes and soften him up a little.....
and not for nothing....but 42nd street looks a whole lot better since rudy rode into town. probably raised the times square property value 10 fold.

if the guy's on some sort of moral crusade i think it has great bearing on the issue. rudy wants us to live in a catholic world and yet he won't play by the catholic rules. he's a two time loser at marriage who is using tax dollars to pay for a police escort for his mistress. and he presumes to tell me how to lead my life? how and where i can spend my money? he is nothing but a jackbooted hypocrite...

Ozzy: I have to admit, Times Square looks a whole lot better thanks to the mayor. Since my office is there, I have seen the changes over the past eight years, and I agree wholeheartedly that his reforms, in this particular area, have been appropriate. Yet, I still question his obsession with wiping out the hobby. Despite his best efforts, it will survive, as it has throughout human history; so maybe he should turn his attention to the serious problems that threaten us everyday and let folks who are not threatening be at peace.
I loved the old Times Square
The windowless peep booths -- "two dollars top, three dolloas bottom." The place just off 8th Ave where you could get a handjob for ten bucks per window. The dope dealers. The Black Israelites. The crazies. The poor and down and out. The ancient hamburger place that served up those greasy cheap burgers with grilled onions.
I miss it all.

the blackjack.....upstairs and two doors over from bills gyro's....best fuckin gyro's ever. the joint across from the garden isn't what it once was either. peepland down closer towards 8thav had that huge mirror eyeball that i once tried to buy for my apt back in the early 90's...

I also miss the old Times Square for the reasons you all have cited, although I never succeeded in obtaining an HJ there either. But I thrived at the Metropole, even though the drinks were pricey and watered down substantially. The Taft Hotel was a haven for the hobby, if there was a hobby in those days. There was an atmosphere in Times Square that was invigorating and luring. Today, while there is much less serious crime, the Square has taken on the trappings of postmodernity. Compare the dazzling neon and twenty four hour a day stock quotes and sports news to films such as Blade Runner and Total Recall. It is almost as if Hollywood dictated this reality. In which case, life is now definitely imitating art.
Oh the old Times Square, where I watched my first XXX movie in one of those dingy theaters. Seems like we were ditching afternoon classes on several occasions to make sure we were keeping up to date on those new "releases" (pun intended).
I miss the energy of the old Times Square and the looks of disbelief as unsuspecting tourists wandered throught it's streets. To hell with property values, bring back the glory days.
