Reviews and disappointment

#1
I've read a few threads here where some guys see ladies based on reviews they've seen on various boards. And it turns out that their experience is no where the same type of experience of the reviews and the guys write it off as YMMV. This is my opinion and anyone feel free to comment. Isn't one of the problems with writing a review in a public forum such as TBD or even here is that the lady you are writing about will be reading your review. So when I do read such reviews, I think one always has to be a little wary of the review and the reviewer. I am not saying that the reviews are always false, but how many guys, who have horrible experiences with a provider that posts regularly and checks various sites, will write about his horrible experiences for fear that he will be attacked by the lady and the lady's supporters. I think that this aspect of the hobby is something that will never disappear. Just my two cents

I'm with you Dicer

Right on...

Also, don't count out the possibility that while the session might have been just OK, the guy writing the glowing review might be doing so as an ace up his sleeve for a future appt. I'd have to assume that a provider who saw a great review about her on a high profile site would be more inclined to act appreciatively on a subsequent visit, no?

I have always given the truth on the reviews. While I am not as active as I was about a year and a half ago. When I have had bad experiences I have written about it and not left it up to "YMMV". Guaranteeing that if I had a bad experience I certainly won't be back. For the most part there is or should not be any fear in writing a bad review. As long as its thruth its to the benefit of all clients and providers. But the review should never contain slamming. Saying that a provider is rushed or did not seem to be into is ok in my book.

Lets keep it Fun

I definitely agree with you. Clients will have their favorites and will write wonderful reviews about that provider. Some will say that I am guilty of that. But like anyone I do have the right to express my thoughts as anyone else does. What I don’t think is right is people taking it to the next level. You know the old saying, “stick and stones will break my bones but names will never hurt me”; unfortunately some people do take it to the next step with threats of bodily injury. We should all learn that these boards are for fun and information.

For a number of reasons men simply don't publicly expose mediocre service via reviews. Perhaps it's because some guys don't do this very often, so the mere fact that they're with a naked women seems like a miracle to them. If she puts her mouth on his dick he's in ecstasy, even if she's not very talented or enthusiastic.

Outright bad service is rarely reported, because (1) most guys don't know what good service looks like in this business; (2) a lot of guys are married and can't risk pissing off a girl or an agency; (3) many men are "white knights" who want to win personal favor with the woman by talking her up.

And also the opposite effect occurs. Let's say the client is a jaded, experienced whoremonger. That type of individual will not write a bad review because even if he's shorted on the time, even if the girl is distant and cold, this type of client knows that the girl and also probably the agency owner are single moms, women doing their best to make it in a tough business, and he doesn't want to hurt their business and end up feeling like a mean heartless person himself. So you have your bad session and move on.

Therefore there are very few bad reviews, even when deserved. And often mediocre service gets reported as good. Because in this particular industry if there's any service provided at all, you're already ahead of the game versus getting totally ripped off, which can and does happen.

You can't even get guys to agree on the basics of good service. If you pay for an hour and she's out the door in 20 minutes, some guys will report that they had a fabulous time -- which they may have -- because they just don't care abot the time. The next guy who sees the same girl or agency gets ripped off, because he was expecting an hour of company.

Because of the intimate and personal nature of services rendered, this will always be a ymmv business. I do wish more guys would expose bad service though.

"Appearance of her labia."

This one time I had sex with a goth chick and she had several big thick jangly silver rings through each labia. I've seen enough genital jewelry to know the difference between delicate little rings and big honkin' heavyweight hunks of metal, and these were the latter.

Some guys like that. I didn't.

Sorry for hijacking the thread. The judge reminded me of labia I have known.

I think that JAG has (or, maybe, had) a larger preponderance of bad and mediocre reviews than I've seen elsewhere. The promise of anonymity, especially from the providers, gave reviewers license to "tell it all".

As I've said elsewhere, I generally try to find providers who have had a mixture of reviews, simply to guard against phony reviews. And, like all of us, I pay attention to the reviewers in order to learn which ones tend to have my taste. (Just like reading movie reviews, come to think of it.)

I think you're supposed to take one ring in the finger of one hand, the other in the finger of your other hand, gently pull her appart and dine at the "Y" (among other things).

P.S. I didn't know that about Kerouac. Too bad. How about Joyce?

Treating reviews like judging a sporting event

I forget what sport does this, but when looking at reviews, I toss out the 2 highest and the 2 lowest, and average out the rest.

Fishfry's description of reviewing rationales sounds the right notes with me. Generally, if something is not worth saying nicely, I won't say it at all.

At least as far as an individual lady is concerned. I don't have any hesitation in saying if an incall eastablishment is dirty, bleak, dark and depressing, or if the Customer Service aspects of the operation are under par.

I read a Joyce written description of the scheme he used in a particular (fairly short) scene in Ulysses and was amazed by the degree to which he must have planned that book. But really, his writing is so unbelieveably interwoven and complex that I'm not sure how you could possibly believe that it was done 'spontaneously'.

Joyve is my favorie English language writer, and I only wish I had 1/4 the intellect necessary to appreciate him 'fully' (and hence, about 10x the intellect I have now).

JAG was the first site I found when I decided to see an escort, from the reviews I read there I discovered what to this day stands as my favorite experience. I probably would have remained there had it not gone to a pay service.
TBD was the second site I found, and from its reviews I discovered my second favorite experience and probably would have remained as a lurker had it not gone to a pay service.
UG was the third site I found, and while I have not discovered any new experiences, I have made what I think is a great friend :), and lost another :( Go figure!
take care HP

BTW, Why is "lurker" the accepted term for someone that reads the threads but does not post? Ive always thought that lurker has a negative connotation, a sneak or someone lying in ambush.

I wonder who wound up with the snipped pieces?
Attracted as I was to the tasteful piece of fine art that held the shavings, I could not help but pawn all my valuables in an effort to obtain the discarded lip pieces. But alas, I was done in as the competition outbid me.

WOE IS ME!

Seriously though, did any of you see the 'thing' she had made to display her chopped pieces??? Someone has that on his antle now. :::shiver:::

The only good review I have ever written was about you.
I usually write OK reviews on UG and pretty middle of the road types. I always ask that you email me for more details. But since the latest with guys emailing women with copies, I do not know what I will do in the future. The purpose is to give an accurate review and not hurt anyones feelings. Nes pas?
