Phone Numbers

#1
I stumbled on a CL provider who did little to no screening. On the one hand, I liked the fact that I could remain relatively anonymous with her. On the other hand, I was seriously concerned that the listing could be a LE sting. But I decided that, since her phone number had a New Jersey area code, that the likelihood was it wasn't LE. Turned out I was right. But was I just fooling myself? Would the NYPD use a phone number in a sting with an out of state area code?

Not only would they could they, but from what I understand they have done so.
