I've not received any of these texts.... I guess that's good. Working in NYC (Queens, and Manhattan everyday), and set up a meet up at least once a week.
The other thing I avoid is talking, strictly a texter to set-up. Prevents me from allowing the little head from putting me in risky situations.
And research every phone number for prior ads before actually showing up. Also helps to walk the neighborhood block twice to get a feel for whose in the area (heavy police presence, unmarked cars or marked cars with regular PO's clumping together).
Im guessing that others on Utopia Guide have been safe enough, no postings about actual arrests... keep the information flowing, help all to avoid a sting .
Especially the TOFTT vanguards.

I would make no such assumptions. I'm no lawyer, but I'd bet that if someone were arrested and facing anything more serious than a desk appearance, their lawyer would recommend that they steer clear of any sites like this. Someone facing a situation they recognize as serious would likely listen to their lawyer in that kind of situation.

If the article is correct, it only went to people who initiated contact w/their online ads, but didn't actually show up for a meet. There's a good chance you narrowly avoided arrest, either by because your spidey sense told you it wasn't a good situation, or because the trap they set didn't quite appeal to you. Count your blessings.
Did the text come from a number you'd been conversing with from one of the ads, or did it come from another number entirely, in the hopes of obscuring which ad had been the culprit? I wouldn't be surprised if some indy girls start sending out more or less the same message when they want to scare a guy off.
Diffetent number. I have a few numbers I call from when I respond to ads. I got the same message on both nuumners I used to all the number in the ad. The number was used in many ads, it seemed legit, so either its a girl who was arrested and wprking with them, or that "girl" was always fake. And this was recent, post Personals shutdown.
Seems to me multiple numbers from monger vetted escorts would be easy to get; I would not be surprised if an escort was busted, especially if she had some illegal drugs and/or paraphernalia, that as part of a plea deal she turn over her phone or maybe they just confiscate her phone outright (it was used in the commission of crime).

Life is always a matter of perspective. Unless they're running more stings than they ever did before, then the risk of getting busted is exactly the same as it always was before (same number of sting ads = same # of stings = same odds of catching a john). The only thing that's different is now they're sending this out to the no shows. Which, if you think about it, can be a way of us pre-screening them. Make the call, do a no show or not interested, and wait. If you get this, be glad you didn't go. If you don't get it...well, maybe you can assume she's legit. (Maybe. Willing to take that chance? Only you can answer that). The only thing this does is remind us that they're out there trying to catch us (in case you forgot) and put a little fear in your head to make you think twice (they admit as much). From the posts here, it would appear to be working.
Ofc there's "wisdom" in what polker thinks however. It is more common sense. Toftt is risky however going off of how long a provider has posted ads and reviews if there help a lot.
Also if no one Toftt it would be a sad state of affairs for the hobbyists that frequent bp. I did it heavy in late 2010- late 2013 or so. Fucked maybe 35 bp girls indys not counting agencies. Walked out on a few, and never got scammed . Tried to get scammed and robbed once but thankfully didnt happen.
Anyway toftt is risky, but riskier than before not sure bout that.
Im on SA got 2 rotation young girls im fucking and some amp spots in Manhattan and some agencies. Im good. But i toftt even last yr a few times off bp.

Also around 1230am today was at Wendys holtsville by the movie theatre and i saw two cop cars with a young girl kinda cute black and they were walking her to their car by the marriot there. Have a feeling it was a pro getting busted my hunches are pretty good.

There's also going to be a transitional period now, where the police try to develop new tactics in the wake of CL shutting down CE. After all, there were likely groups of officers in all sorts of places who did nothing but CL-based stings. It was easy work for them to pad their arrest numbers. Those guys are now all looking at having to find another way to keep those numbers up.
