New Twitter - the escort price fixing drama

Found this thread on Twitter today... an interesting read on the girls colluding together to set minimum pricing

With so places like the targeted Utopia Guide and its similar though not a good mongering "industry" boards so that we can talk and share information about the girls, and the more mainstream publicly open like reddit/twitter/IG/FB there are escorts that talk about clients and the game.

Hear is a soon to be classic tweet that is relevant. There is a provider who thinks they should all collude and make $300 the minimum.

No information about what that $300 service entails, like are bbjs standard warmup before the fs?

That chic is delusional. Drug dealers pay super high prices for product and the risks along with it can be 10 years or more punishment wise as opposed to being slapped with misdemeanor. So she cant compare. She's probably just upset that her dealer raised the prices since after covid hit lol.

They will never have a set amount. Pimps, amps, fast houses will not stick to it. They will undercut them. $300 across the board is idiotic.

First off Colorado is much cheaper than NY for example. I wouldn't take stock into what pros such as this girl says.

That's what i was thinking, she's upset that her dealer raised prices, or that "john" traffick for her services has dropped from COVID fears....

Though i have noticed in NY, so far no rate changes with the ones i see regularly... the ones i have seen at Lears have been the 300, but have noticed that about 1/3 of their newer talent is now 400 instead of typical 300 [not sure if this means anything], the other agency providers aren't raising rates

Although this may not be a good inference, remember the auto manufacturer Saturn who tried to fix prices back in the day...Where are they now...?

Supply and demand, the economy, disposable income ...

Drugs? When the supply of OXY diminished, drug dealers found a different product, less expensive and more ( sadly so) addicting and appealing to the affected community

I could go on and on

Not only was the replacement for the quality controlled pharmaceutical grade manufactured OXY more addicting but it was much more deadly.

IMHO, if you are a believer in basic ECON 101, price fixing always has to self destruct. Classic example is OPEC As soon product, whether it be pussy, oil, or hand sanitizer is priced above demand, new suppliers move in to try and take advantage of the higher prices and prices actually drop below what they were before, temporarily anyway, until supply and demand comes back in balance.

Price fixing works when you can form a cartel, ie beat up and threaten anyone undercutting the price. Unless these girls are going to start attacking $200/h girls it won’t work.

Nope. Even in your example it won't work. Price fixing can work only temporarily for a product that has inelastic demand.

This is not the case of pussy as it is a discretionary product. People spend money on pussy using money they have left over after paying for essential stuff like food and shelter. You need food and shelter.
$300 pussy is not an essential product (no one really needs $300 pussy) so price fixing may not even work temporarily.

For example take the case of an essential product such as fuel oil on long island where price fixing can work temporarily:
Lets say somehow you could for force all fuel oil suppliers to triple the price by price fixing, e.g., in your example you beat up those suppliers who don't go along with it and somehow you prevent new suppliers, attracted by the higher prices, from entering the market.

1. Demand for the those uses who heat with fuel oil (they need the product) will decrease slightly as people who kept their thermostats at 72 now lower it to 68. This will happen quickly and demand will decrease causing stain of the cartel. You can't prevent that by beating up those who do it.

2. Users will convert to less expensive fuel sources, put extra insulation in their facilities, install more efficient heating systems, etc. These are long run changes will cause permanent decreases in demand even after the price fixing fails and pricing will actually drop to below where it was before the price fixing started. again, you can't prevent that by beating up those who do it.

Econ 101.
